Considering Bethesda's appalling track record recently (the disappointments that were Brink and Hunted, nothing more than cash grabs) i'll likely be steering clear of this.
Unfortunately I have to agree. I love Bethesda's games (and they haven't started showing signs of selling their soul like Bioware) but they've been producing (not making) some sub par games since Fallout 3. I don't mean bad games, mind you, I mean games that simply don't live up to their industry leading track record. That said I wouldn't call them cash grabs there needs to be more middle ground between XBLA indie games and AAA sequels to established IPs so I'm very happy that they've been producing games for lesser known developers.

With regards to Prey 2 -

1. Why is it called Prey 2 - the link to the original seems tenuous at best. Not that I liked the original.
2. The trailer was awesome but it's a CG movie of an idea. I'll suspend my excitement until I see the implementation.

I'd say this is prey 2 is roughly the same sense there was a far cry 2. At least this is in the same setting.

Plus, Johnny Cash has definitely sold this game for me.

Liking it a hellova lot more than the first, the first being essentially a quake ripoff with elements of doom 3 and being all round kinda boring and gorey for the sake of it.

I'm liking the whole space bounty hunter stick, i mean this could be it's own game without being chained tot he first game.

Anyhow, can't wait to see more.

Not bad. Certainly can't go wrong with Johnny Cash!

Even though this game is absolutely nothing like the first Prey, I think I like what it's shaping up to be. I could see really enjoying a bountyhunter/lawman role in an open-world cyberpunk alien city.

The only thing that kind of broke it for me was the alien guy's goofy accent and use of modern American vernacular, which seemed really out of place.
