Wow, that CGI looks... old. Was it proper CGI, or just in-game cutscenes? 'cos the CGI in the Far Cry 3 trailers has been so much better. And in many other CGI commercials.

Yeah, well the whole thing about Umbrella is already bullshit. The only person that could want to bring back the old white-and-red would be Alexia, but she probably died in Code Veronica-She could be back, I loved how she kicked Wesker, so easily, in that game.
But the biggest question for me is: Offline multiplayer will be back?

And seeing as, from what I saw, every character always has another main character with them, does that mean we get two-player co op? Yes please. I loved that about RE5.

not impressed so far. maybe i get it when its really cheap and i have nothing else to play. as long LIVE is not required. hate it like hell. lost all my saves from RE5 because of this crappy DRM.

Meh. I really cannot say anything more than that. If it was a completely new IP then I might have had some interest but ever since the survival horror jumped shipped in... hell I am not even sure given how many RE games there are, I have lost interest.

Why would you possibly name anything neo anything or if you live in this universe umbrella. I can't imagine it would get you any great PR. What possible goal could be better achieved with name even if you called yourself Super Evil Inc. it would still be better then umbrella.

Neo is a prefix from the ancient Greek word for young, neos, which is derived from the Proto-Indo European word for new, néwos.

in short: means old things new.
example:

neo-romanticism
neo-nazis
Neocolonialism
neo-renaissance

Still doesn't answer my question as to WHY they do it. Yes it pretty much means new but do they have to just add NEO in front of something rather than make up a completely new name for it? I probably would have been turned off RE5 if they used the name NEO Umbrella rather than Tri-Cell. They can come up with a new name its just they are being lazy about it.

because they want you to know that you are fighting again against your main/oldest adversary and not happy pills factory (tri-cell).

its the umbrella corp, the equivalent of nazis in the resident evil/biohazard realm.
and the want you to know that they have reassembled themselves just to be fucked over by you.

and it sound better than umbrella 2 or umbrella reunited or parasol inc. or paragua corp. or Umbraculum

They did do that in 5 by making it get connected to Umbrella but didnt have a NEO infront of it.

Also I quite prefer Umbrella Reunited over throwing NEO in front of it.
