I can't wait for this. Pre-ordered this ages ago and now I finally know what the octopus gun is doing. Only 1 week, 1 month, 1 week, 6 days and 23 hours left now!

Anyways, I wonder if that area will only be in the pre-order, or just the items. I never got into Saints Row 2. Likely because I bought it for PS3 on sale and I just couldn't stand using the PS3 controller.

Does Best Buy still make the 360 sized and shaped PS3 controller?

This game looks like they had a brainstorming session while sleep deprived and possibly drunk, then the next morning the designers just came along and said "yep, that'll do" and included absolutely everything.


And I am totally ok with that.

I want to pre-order it so badly, but the port to the computer of Saints Row 2 was... less then optimal.

I would expect something different here. 2's PC port was done by a different company than Volition. Volition is handling both console and PC versions for the Third.
Considering Volition's habit of giving players what they want, I have a feeling they listened to the PC players about where 2 was off.

I saw an interview somewhere where Volition admitted that the PC port of #2 was only half arsed (not quite in those words, of course) and saying that they'll do it better for #3, that they're building it specifically with the PC in mind this time.

Here's hoping.
