While it is work in progress, it still looks bad(not to mention..I HATE Tekken). Sorry Capcom but I won't be buying this one.

Ok I just can't get over how ginormous Chun-Li's legs are. It freaks me out.

No, thank you.

If this was Namco Bandai making this game, with Tekken's fighting engine, maybe. It's Capcom, so I'll buy it used as soon as that's available.

Besides, Mortal Kombat 9's coming in six days anyway. Unless Capcom actually has a wealth of content to give us for this game, I will buy it used.

From what I hear, Namco Bandai are making a game called Tekken x Street Fighter or something like that, it's gonna be the same premise as this one only made using the same engine as the Tekken games.

Hmm. If so, I'll look into that one instead.

I canna understand how someone can make a Street Fighter vs. Tekken game without pairing up Ruy versus Jin and Ken versus Hwoarang :)

Other than that, it seems to play much as Street Fighter IV. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I think I prefer the Tekken vs. Street Fighter version.

I don't necessarily think this is the wrong way round, I'm a big fan of both franchises, and some merging obviously needs to happen, but if they do produce a title on each engine, I'll definitely be picking up both of them

Why does it look like Capcom took the gameplay directly from MvC3? I seriously hope this isn't yet another overly combo driven games because if it is, it's not a buy for me. I enjoy SSFIV and Tekken 6 because I have the option of being a combo player(which I'm not) or simply outplay my opponent by being better. The gameplay trailer makes this look like they simplified everything to smack the hell out of one button and waggle the controller until the other person is down. I hope this isn't the case because I wanted to like this game(Tekken X SF moreso)

With most of the others, here. I like the MvC3 formula because it works for all involved. Doesn't seem to work quite well for the Tekken cast. The reverse might be awesome, if they can manage to work the SF attacks into the Tekken fighting formula. Then I'm all for seeing if Akuma can make Kazuya his *****.

I don't mind the concept, to be frank I'd definitely like to see it happen, but it's a personal preference to see this made on a different engine. A little variance is all I'd like to see.

Is it just me, or does a single one Chun Li's upper legs look a lot bigger than her entire torso? :O

Anyway, two good franchises, but no telling what happens if you mash them up...

I've always been a Tekken fan. It's the only fighting game I've ever really been into. Probably just because Tekken 2 was the first Playstation game I ever owned.

So I thought this might be cool. I still do, but it seems more like a Street Fighter game with Tekken characters in it, than a real mash-up.

Since there seems to be some major misconceptions going on here...

This is Capcom's take on a SF Tekken crossover game, based in part on Ono's (the producer of the modern SF series) love of Tekken Tag Tournament. It uses a modified version of the SF4 engine but, as is obvious, it includes a much more full juggle system than SF4 did. Beyond that it supposedly plays much like a hyper version of SF4 but with some Vs game style elements added in.

Contrary to popular belief, the Tekken characters are not really being totally shoehorned into a SF control scheme. The Tekken characters use the left 4 buttons of the 6 button layout just like you do in Tekken with it's 4 button layout. The 2 rightmost buttons (hard kick and hard punch generally) will be used as sort of special move buttons for the Tekken cast. They will also have some special moves akin to what the SF characters have, and these are based on some of their moves from the Tekken series, but they will be able to access at least some of their normal Tekken chains via the same inputs on the 4 attack buttons just as if you are playing Tekken. From early reports, it also sounds like the Tekken cast are being created to take better advantage of the new juggle engine than the SF cast are, which fits perfectly if you know anything about Tekken.

Namco is making their own version of a crossover game that features SF characters in a more Tekken like system. You haven't seen much of it yet because it's quite early in development.. much earlier than SFxT. And yes, it will be called Tekken X Street Fighter. No real details are known as of yet as to fairly important things like how Street Fighters famous projectiles will be implemented in a 3D game.
