I thought the prime title Was given when an autobot had the autobot matrix of leadership in them i.e Optimus prime and rodimus prime this is based on the g1 cartoon

This is a Prequel to the Prime Series, however it has many homages to the G1 cartoon (Character design, references, how some of the characters act, etc)

In this Cannon, the title of Prime is given by the council of Elders, and Optimus is the last. He was given the Matrix of Leadership by Cybertrons core because it needed to shut down to repair itself from the corruption of Dark Energon. The Matrix of Leadership is essentially the Cores Spark, and Optimus is protecting it.

And the Matix didn't make Ultra Magnus a prime, which is a little odd.

Man... i feel so sorry for you.

That game is god awful, and completely broke the cannon for the Dark of the moon game, considering one of the bosses is Shockwave
