This reminds me of a teddy bear I once had (or rabbit not sure which), it came with a couple of videos and the idea is it would watch the videos with you, not sure how it worked but it would give certain responses to certain parts of the video.

The only video I want to see about this product is it being featured in the Daily Drop, but only if it is dropped from the top of a building.

Also a video of real dogs destroying it would be pretty funny. I have three dogs, I think I could make that video happen.

That commercial couldn't be less subtle if it tried XD. Well maybe it could, HEY PARENTS? IS YOUR KID BUGGING YOU FOR A DOG BUT YOU DON'T WANT A DOG? WELL CHECK IT! YOU CAN GET THEM THIS AND THEY CAN HAVE A HOLLOW SHADOW OF THE RELATIONSHIP THEY WOULD SHARE WITH AN ACTUAL ANIMAL AT A FRACTION OF THE COST AND INCONVENIENCE TO YOU. Technology wise I think that is a pretty cool concept and all but I don't care for the way they are pitching it in the least.

Newsflash: ROB vanishes from history; repurposed into dog form. Seriously, nothing in that trailer suggests for a moment that the dog actually interacts in any meaningful way with the game. Am I missing something?

I was going to say the same thing. Not that meaningful interaction seems to be the goal of those games, with or without the robot dog. But like ROB, this seems like a pointless gimmick that doesn't even do anything in the game. I had more fun playing Gyromite with my little brother as he was too young to play a game by himself. But he was temperamental as he would squish me if I pissed him off.
