Hm...well, I still haven't seen the second one and I don't really plan to. I didn't even think the first was that great.

But I'm fairly sure I can tell you, without having even seen the second, that a third will fail miserably.

I need the dinosaurs from the old transformers movie from back in the 1980's. that, and unicron. you know what? just remake the old movie but with better dialog and less humans.

Despite criticisms from people like Moviebob, I think Meagan Fox is pretty hot. Also oddly I thought she did okay in Jennifer's Body, going beyond her use as a sexy prop. Some of her predatory posing and such as a demon was decent for example (speaking as a genere fan of girls acting possessed).

Now I could do without Shia Labouef , despite him being a decent actor overall. I'm all for the eye candy.

That said, I think they should wait a few years and just relaunch the whole thing instead of doing a third one. They should also consider a differant director.

Contrary to some opinions, I think Michael Bay's style could be quite good with some things, but it just doesn't work for this.

Oh, and NO MEGAN FOX.
This, every time I watcher I feel the need to take a shower in bleach. Just remembering Jennifer's Body makes me throw up in my mouth a little, Seriously I just did...

And less racial stereotypes injected for comic relief...

Fixing the damn characters! Megatron is not a fucking sith and Starscream is not Gollum!
This I have to agree on. Megatron bows down to no-one, and while Starscream can be a snivelling little suck-up when he needs to be, even he doesn't stoop to being a blubbering drone.

I think I'm gonna agree with all of you guys here. If we get a director who is gonna watch and stay true the original show (THE ROBOTS obviously) then we'll get a better movie, say this time when Optimus dies for half the movie we can y'know have Unicron and maybe *GASP* Galvatron...or the whole Starscream betrayal thing that happened when he took over. That'd be nice...I still liked 1+2 they just could've been more like the actual tv show. Things like
1. Unicron (Who eats planets, CMON how can you get more awesome?)
2. Galvatron and the fact that Megatron transforms into a bazooka/gun thing not a superjet that didn't even exist when they say he was on Earth (Anyone else notice that?)
3. Soundwave needs to be more like he was when he was cool, also minicons couldn't exactly hurt.
4. Whoever mentioned Blur deserves a Badge because he was funny and fast talking robots that confuse people are awesome.
5. More on robots less humans I think is something else everybody mentioned to death.
would vastly improve the third movie if its 'salvagable' to some of you.
I really wish it could be like this but it probably won't I might like the 3rd one anyway but '84 animation movie still takes the gold.

more explosions.
Oh, so you want a screen full of fire the whole movie?
HELL YEAH!!1

well, really, i think Mr. Bay, in his effort to make things explode and be awesome, does faithfully re-create the toys to extent.
Think back to when you played with toys in a sandbox:
they'd go vroom, woosh, BOOM!, transform!!, PUNCH!!
and he translates that onto screen.
I throughly enjoy his directorial style, and i'm not a moron, contrary to what some 'critics' may believe.
yeah, the plot is weak, but it's fun as hell to watch.

and ms. fox really isn't that attractive, if you're someone whom puts emphasis on the head, because yeah, her body is fine, but above the neckline kills it for me.

Megan Fox would be the only thing I'd want to see in another movie, actually. Transformers got old after the first one. The second one was horrible. The only thing that they can improve on is to not have Michael Bay working on it, but that's not going to happen, now is it?

...I liked Transformers 2, and I watched the originals as a kid.

I don't get what was so wrong with it - sure, I'd love more robots and less humans, but it was quite entertaining and the robots could actually fight worth-a-damn for once (c'mon, Optimus taking on all those Decepticons? That was an awesome brawl).

I thought the action in #2 was a lot clearer than in #1 - I struggled to tell the Transformers apart in the first film, but didn't have that issue in the second (apart from the initial fight in China/Hong Kong/wherever it was).

I don't mind Megan Fox in the films - I'm not a fan of hers (I think she's a ***** in real life), but if one actor/ess had to go, I'd rather it was Shia - that kid annoys me to hell and back.
I agree with most of this, just wish that galvatron and things like more soundwave, etc could be included though, more robots less humans.
Not to say the humans are painful or bad but we need more robots because its TRANSFORMERS not TRANSFORMERS...AND SOME HUMANS TOO...BUT ITS TRANSFORMERS....I guess...

Didn't really care for the 1st so didn't see. however i admit the CG was pretty good, so i just might go see the 3rd if they have a proper scene of Unicron changing from planet to robot

Ok, Transformers 2 was not the best film. Ok, it was borderline terrible (in my opinion)

I did hear a rumor that Bay was thinking of dumping Megan Fox in Trans3. Personally, I think this is a good thing, but I also wish the genre would focus WAYYY less on the human characters and more on the thing the movie is named after.
This has nothing to do with film making an everything to do with a spat between the two.

Of course, this came after some comments from Megan Fox on just how bad Michael Bay is.

http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/us-magazine-megan-fox-bay.html

And I am totally with her on this one.

My views on this demented pratt of a film director have been explored at length here [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.161340-The-reason-I-hate-Michael-Bay].

I personally feel he should be banned from making films until he has learned how to make them in a way that doesn't actually insult the people who try to watch them.

EDIT: Why was this thread sunk? What was wrong with it?

Ok, true.
You've made a good point. And Megan Fox did too, but Megan Fox shouldn't be bashing talent when she herself lacks so little. She's a poor actress who has thus far relied on her looks.

And this thread was sunk because controversial threads are more popular/get more attention than friendly threads. (That is a joke of course.)
