Its a Michael Bay Transformers film. You're gonna get what you think will happen. You either like it or not. Its all subjective. My thoughts: 4 is still the worst film in the series for me, but this was still pretty bad. 2/10

You'll forgive me if I haven't been paying all that much attention to every terrible yet somehow big-name filmmaker, but are you saying that Michael Bay has made at least five Transformers movies? He was allowed to continue after the first two?

That is almost literally the definition of insanity.

Actually its kinda the opposite of insanity, the franchise makes a shit ton of money so he keeps making shit.

That is both depressing and hilarious. Like a mime trying to talk a clown out of suicide.

If only we could all profit immensely from our poorest work as Bay does. No, I think it would cease being funny then.

But, but ... but it has explosions! And crude racial humor! And cameras lingering over attractive womens (who may or may not be underage in-universe) nubile bodies! And wanking off to military hardware! And annoying comic relief characters! And sometimes big robots fighting! And cringeworthy dialogue! And explosions! And EXPLOSIONS!

Also, y'all liked the first one as a guilty pleasure and this is basically the same movie all over again, so give us money, dumbasses.

My understanding is that much like the dinobots last time, the big hype of Optimus being turned evil only lasts about 5 minutes this time. That was pretty much the only thing that intrigued me at all, so I'm gonna give this a hard pass.

Michael Bay's love letter to military hardware and awkward teen romance (in which giant robots that transform into other things occasionally appear as well) has gotten this far, huh? There really is no accounting for taste.

ok. seriously, i liked transformers 1, the 2 was meh, but i enjoyed the 3. the 4th one was ok at first, but became very bad halfway throught. But this one, was batshit insane. in the bad sense. the story make no sense at all. it goes in every directions, it's long, the actions scenes are bad...

the transformers are on earth for a very long time. they fought in about every war since king arthur. Sam's ancestor are a secret society who keep their existance secret, but yet, they fought in WW2, in the independence war, they fought with king arthur...
einstein, tesla, lincoln all knew about them. Now transformers are illegal everywhere except Cuba, for no reasons. a watch killed Hitler. there's baby transformers, the earth is fucking unicron ! at one point the movie is suddently becoming suicide squad. megatron negociate the release of several decepticon, and as he named them you see their name on the screen and see them being pulled out of prison. half of them dies within 3 minutes.

so the plan of the vilain is to repair cybertron by sucking the energy of unicron but ramming earth with cybertron, and start an energy transfer with a staff that is hidden in merlin's tomb. at the end they stop the process, but the moon is destroy, and cybertron is stuck with the earth... and at the last minute some egyptian girl appears out of nowhere, telling somebody we dont know that she know how to stop unicron. and the film end.

there's a lot more to say about this crap, but i'll stop there. 2/10

This one seems particularly pedophilic. That young girl in the trailers can't possibly be of legal age, yet she's the focus of a slow mo shot while running in a low cut shirt. And is barely in the movie apparently.

OT: The one interesting thing I have heard about this movie is that Castro invites Transformers to Cuba, making it some kind of Transformer haven.

PS Is Castro dead? I thought he was dead.

Fidel is. His brother Raul isn't tho, and has been president of Cuba since 2008. Maybe that's the Castro they're referring to?

Or maybe they mean Fidel and reality hasn't caught up to Michael Baysplosions yet.

yes, they refere to Raoul. However, this is mentionned, but this have no consequence on the plot. it's just there to see a few transformers hanging on the beach...

I have only seen the trailer but the story looks similar to the new too fast too furious 53, retribution, the revenge, Rise of the car with 50 gears because that's the amount of times they down shift in those drag races, or whatever it's called.

By that I mean the main protagonist suddenly becomes a bad guy but (and I'm guessing but it looks predictable) that he had good intentions all along.

From what I understand, The Last Knight pulls an Age of Extinction. By that, I mean the reason people are excited for the movie, AoE's... "Dinobots" and TLK's... "Nemesis Prime", are only in the film for a miniscule amount of time near the end. I'm so happy I don't have to hate watch this movie anymore.

To quote my brother - "I'm a simple man; I see robots beating each other up, I'm happy. There's no justifying this dumpster fire however."

This film is garbage and I liked age of extinction.

When they said they where doing a writers room for the plot I assumed that they where cooperating not each writing there own 15 minute sub-plot then randomly editing them together till the get 2 hours and 30 minutes to stick in theatres.

least terrible
Age of Extinction
Transformers

Revenge of the Fallen

Dark of the Moon

The Last Knight
Most unwatchable

Personally Age of Extinction is the worst of the franchise and found to be utterly unwatchable. The Last Knight is still shit, but at least it gave me good special effects. Though its still like saying the shit I took last night was better than the shit I took this morning.

1. Dark of the Moon
2. Transformers
3. Revenge of the Fallen
4. The Last Knight
5. Age of Extinction
