Transformers: War For Cybertron

This game was revealed in the most recent issue of GameInformer and the first trailer came out today-

I may be a hopeless TF fan but I do like what I see so far.

Well I need some clean undies. That is freakin sweet. I had horrifying visions of them pulling it from the new animated series but it seems like they are going G1. And squid loves his G1!

The game doesn't use those hideous BayFormer designs, so that's a definite plus. Watching Prime cleave that poor little 'Con in half made me happy.

Perhaps you should try and get your hands on copies of Dreamwave's "Transformers: The War Within", because that's what this game is based on. And guess what? It was the sweetest series ever: It was grim, dark, utterly brutal and had no human element whatsoever. Go read it! NOW! DO IT! THEN BUY THE GAME WHEN IT COMES OUT!

I never knew they had books on them, I only saw the shitty cartoons as a child, and seen crappy micheal bay movies, and movie games.


It looks dead to me, kill TF, and move onto a nw IP... Like flying mecha squirrells.

Have you read Time Wars, about the demise of Galvatron? Another fantastic story, it was from the G1 comics.

And the one about the Swarm, with the horrific ending... can't remember what it's called but man, that was some dark shit.

Seriously, am I the only one here who's read War Within?

Yes, this ties into the G1 storyline. It's just a lot better because there are no ridiculous puny fleshlings mucking up the badassery. And make no mistake, this is badassery in its purest form. This is the motherlovin' civil war that tore Cybertron apart. And yes, you'll recognize all your favorite bots because it's the same storyline, just pre-Earth - think G1 with a slick makeover and awesome alternate modes.

And I see no reason for them to leave Soundwave out - hell, if they went to the trouble of making a game based on a great comic I'll bet they've done their homework and know that Soundwave features prominently in it.

Soundwave is reportedly in the game, along with other favorites like Bumblebee, Thundercracker, Ironhide and Ratchet.
