Many of my favorite trashy films have already been named, but I'll gladly give you my top 3:

1. Total Recall (1990 with Arnold Schwarzenegger)

2. Toxic Avenger I, II and III

3. Robocop (1987)

Films that I would consider 'trashy' but also awesome:

Toxic Avenger
Teeth
Class of Nuke 'Em High
Reanimator
Planet Terror
Ghoulies
Conan The Barbarian(the original)
Commando
Running Man
Death Wish 1,2 and 3
The Abominable Dr Phibes
Tenebre
Suspiria
Man with the screaming brain
Horror in the attic(also known as The Attic Expeditions)

Plus a whole heap of others, I love trashy films.
Impressive! There are a couple of films on that list I have yet to see, i'll definitely have to check those out. Thanks!

I love bad kung-fu movies so so much.

I recently saw one called Riki-oh where the hero regularly punched people in half and where the main villain traveled exclusively by flying out of manholes like a rocket. It was fantastic.

60's and 70's era Godzilla movies. Good god are they so amazing.

Oh, and Flash Gordon.

And Starships Troopers.

Funny, I've just recently been on a binge of 80's horror flicks. I just watched all of the "A Nightmare on Elm Street" films consecutively and... as utterly dumb as they all are, I love them to death. Freddy is one of those villains who is just really fun to watch, no matter what he's doing.
Yes, even this. No, especially this:

I guess I didn't really mean trashy, I meant films that don't really make you think. I don't think anyone sits down on a rainy night and thinks, "I need some light entertainment, I'll watch Shoah"

OK, I am gonna say it:
Uwe Boll.
Yeah, the guy made some absolutely atrocious abominations disguising themselves as movies, but amongst all the BS there is one gem to be found:
Postal The Movie. It is probably one of the most tasteless movies ever to be made and it is GLORIOUS. Everyone who hasn't watched it yet should totally do so.

Resident Evil movies. Well... Not the first one, the first one was shit, but 2 through 5 are fucking brilliant to watch, just one of the most beautiful women ever martial arts fighting zombies and monsters.

My Name Is Bruce too, as it is trash at it's finest. A parody of Bruce Campbell's career starring Bruce Campbell as Bruce Campbell.

Lady Terminator
Indonesian Terminator-ripoff with some REALLY awesome dubbing."Jack and I have seen more dead bodies, than you've eaten hot dogs. So shut up and eat!"

For Your Height Only
Another Indonesian flick, this time a Bond-ripoff, starring the ultimate 2'9" high superstar Weng Weng. It has a scene where he flies a real life jetpack...and you thought Skyfall was great!

Black Belt Jones

I rest my case.

I love trash movie. But "The 25th Reich" has a very special place in my heart. It isn`t just a bad movie, it`s plain terrible. It starts out rather slow with a small american squad during WWII, hunting some kind of puma. But then you see them travel through time, fighting against giant mosquitos.
Oh yeah, there is also a floating swastika that turns people into giant robotic spider nazis(I´m sreious here).
And then there is this one scene. One of the nazi spiders does something that no one will see coming.

The only thing that really bugs me about this movie is the ending. It builds up an "epic" fight and then suddenly ends with a stupid cliffhanger. I really hope they will do a sequel.

Sometimes you are just in the mood to watch some nonsense, my choices are Drive,
I was ready to jump into this thread, but I really need to question this.
I don't think Drive is nonsense, it's just extremely subtle with a couple moments of visceral violence.
Drive is way deeper than you seem to think it is. Subtly like that is incredibly hard to pull off and hasn't been done so successfully since the days of Sergio Leone. You really should edit your original post or you'll risk derailing this thread.

I love bad movies in general, I can enjoy a bad or trashy movie like The Room much more than just a mediocre movie. I've seen most things listed here but one I would add is Hobo with a Shotgun. It's Rutger Hauer with a shotgun playing a hobo with a shotgun and really it doesn't get much more simple or dumb than that.

Other notables:

Birdemic: Shock and Terror- amateur film making at it's worst....or at it's best?

Wrong Turn 2- it's the only one that has a sense of fun about it

Friday the 13th IV- In a crop of same-y sequels this one stands out as the quirky one. Make sure to watch out for the Crispin Glover dance scene it makes the movie.

Friday the 13th VII- In which be find out Jason hates boomboxes.

Smokin' Aces- Needlessly complicated nonsense plot all you need to know is a bunch of guys are trying to get to Jeremy Piven...why? Well the reason is actually pretty retarded as is the resolution...but it's fun as hell to watch.

Dracula Sovereign of the Damned- Anime at it's worst. It's the animation and dub for this two hour movie that make it worth watching. The English voice actors all sound they were recorded in a broom closet and it's pretty obvious Toei not know for great animation anyway didn't put it's A-team on this one. Oh and the primary plot? Dracula cockblocks Satan. Yes, you read that right. Also it's the only movie where you'll get to see Dracula chow down on a hamburger in a disco bar/fast food joint.

Iron Virgin Jun- At an hour long it's a bit short for a movie but it's a pure exercise in what the fuck am I watching. Again go for the English dub if you want the full effect.

There's a bunch more I could post and a ton of anime but some of those aren't movies so wouldn't fit the theme.

It might deeper, but you can also just watch it as some badass nameless man taking out revenge on certain people and rescuing that woman

I try really hard to like the movie but after reading the book I just can't. Too many variances and differences. I know its trying to be campy and satire but I just can't do it. I liked the animated stuff better than the live action.
Fair enough, but the camp and satire is my favorite part :D Nothing beats gestapo Neil Patrick Harris.

On that note, everything I've seen by Verhoeven is trashy in a tounge-in-cheek kind of way, so I'll add Total Recall and Robocop to that list.

Constantine.

The plot is complete tripe and Keanu Reeves is the most cardboard and shapeless person to ever be selected to play John Constantine and it feeds into my completely legitimate and justifiable hatred of Shia LeBeouf and no its totally not a complex and I would ask you to kindly stop judging my judgment of human garbage--

But I just.

Keep.

Watching it.

Anytime time it is ever on.

I have intellectual omnipresence for this film, and as a film major it is my greatest guilty pleasure.
I agree with the Shia LeBeouf thing, but I actually really enjoy this movie - I personally don't think it's terrible but then again I enjoyed the Mario Bros. movie.

OT: Apart from Constantine and Mario Bros?...Tom and Jerry movie, used to watch it religiously as a kid and although I don't enjoy it as much now it's still fun for me.

I wouldn't call the The Raid "trashy" in any sense. It's a legitimately good action film. Yes, the plot isn't anything special, but it's efficiently told and the action is some of the best I've seen in any movie.

OT: Rock 'n' Roll Highschool (the movie that has the Ramones in it) and Fast Times at Ridgemont High are both really fun to watch, even if they aren't that good.

Just because it's trashy doesn't mean it's not any good

How is The Raid trashy? How do you define trashy?
