Pulp Fiction is the only good film he's been in. As far as big actors go, he's one of my least favourites.

I don't think I've actually seen anything Travolta's been in other than Pulp Fiction.

His only good movie was pulp fiction. Except for maybe Battlefield Earth, which was a masterpiece.
What are you, a scientologist? Battlefield Earth was pseudo-religious propaganda at best, a shitty C-grade sci-fi flick at worst.

The General's Daughter, Get Shorty, Be Cool and Basic are far better movies in terms of Travolta's performance as an actor over Pulp Fiction.
It was a god damn joke!

I'd say the Taking of Pelham 123. Ive tried so hard to be a Travolta fan, but he just keeps coming out with bad movies, it's getting hard to look at him in a positive light. Pelham 123 was actually a decent film, in which I loved Travolta. But "Old Dogs"? I had to walk out.

Indeed you are. How dare you have a differing opinion than my own?! You should be ashamed of yourself! I bet you support independent thought, too! Why can't you just be a soulless drone in a hive-mind like everyone else?

Once I really thought about it, there haven't been many Travolta movies that I love. I have nothing against him and have never been disgusted at one of his movies, (though I haven't seen Old Dogs), he has always just been ok to me. I knew what to expect with From Paris, so I was able to enjoy it. We really went to see Avatar, but decided to wait for our other friends.

On a side note, can anyone tell me if its worth driving an extra 2 hours to see Avatar in 3-D?

From what I've seen, I'd say it's Get Shorty. I haven't seen much of Travolta's stuff.

I think he looks like an alien. I think he's from the same planet as Val Kilmer and Steven Seagal.

I went into From Paris totally ready to dog on it but... quite actually fell in love with it.

It's fast, doesn't take itself too seriously, funny, quirky, doesn't have the whole moody buddy cop scene, and most of all it has some of the finest looking women getting their brains blown out in cinematic history

Also the guy carries around a vase full of coke for half the movie fucking priceless.

Fuck. Yes.

Avatar sucks. It's predictable, badly acted, the lines are often totally cliched, and it's really really enjoyable to watch. The 3D was fantastic, it makes the whole experience worth sitting through.

OT: I thought Be Cool was great, especially The Rock taking the piss out of himself, and why has nobody mentioned Broken Arrow yet?
