There is a lot of inequality that goes both ways in the army (at least in the U.S). For example, women get passed over when promotions are available. Same as every industry. And there is the whole harassment problem (which sounds a bit exaggerated but whatever). But when women are recruited they are often put into specialist positions, skipping the grunt stage. This would be like John and Mary join the army, John becomes infantry and Mary is sent to further her skills as a sniper. Why? Because women, apparently, aren't strong enough for standard infantry.
Thats a really big issue and I totally agree with the male-side (not cuz I'm a guy) of this argument. Why should a woman be treated better? Because men are genetically stronger? If a woman wants to join the army, treat her like a guy. No separate barracks, no special treatment, same work load, same gear hell, even the same bathrooms. So you're pregnant? Oh, well you should have considered this happening before joining ma'am. No we can't give you maternity leave, we don't do that anymore. Everybody gets the same deal. End of story. Equality for all, mother fuckers.
Note. Women want the luxuries of females with the benefits of males. This has NOTHING to do with equality.
Just saying.
