As degrading as that sounds toward the female she probably should have just kept to her professional discipline and held off. I understand that women have hormonal rages just like men but damn it all, you're still just a damn kid.
Your probably right, I don't think it was wrong of her to sleep with him if it was consentual and everything, but I guess the sad fact is you just can't trust people and I supose you cant risk this kind of thing hapening

Unfortunately I go to a college that has a pretty bad ratio of guys to girls. (somewhere around 3 or 2 to 1) and yea there is a bit more masculinity floating around, but generalizing doesn't work that well here. Yes there are plenty of "horror stories" that are circulated, but it seems more prevalent due to the increased attention to single events.

I think this example is more of a guy just being a general jerk, which you really can't avoid anywhere, despite the ratio (if there are more girls they can be just as bad, don't forget). I'm not entirely familiar with the US military policies, but the farther we can get to equality, and evening out the ratio, the less this type of situation will occur.

I think it was at some Australian airforce training place, an 18 year old girl had sex with a guy In his room or what ever, it was consentual and everything, HOWEVER aparently he had set up a webcam and I think skyped it live to a bunch of other guys in another room obviously you can guess the fallout that happened afterwards

The incident occured at ADFA, the Australia Defence Force Academy, which is the Officer Training Academy (combination officer training cadre and university) for all 3 branches of the ADF.

anyway she said she was sticking to her military path, good for her
She may intend to do so but apparently she forgot a little rule against fraternisation that ADF has and is enforced at the ADFA. Can't remember if fraternisation is a crash and burn offense for ADFA... The guy she was screwing will probably get the same plus Conduct Unbecoming and a few other charges - enough to make for a crash and burn. The guys watching the webcast will probably get slapped with Conduct Unbecoming. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised to see the ADF bounce them all.

There may also be charges of going outside the chain of command in for taking the story to the media... depends on whether her allegations of the ADF trying to ignore and hush up the incident are true. OTOH, if they are true or even hint at being true the ADF won't bounce her buuuut her disciplinary record will look like shit.

There is a lot of inequality that goes both ways in the army (at least in the U.S). For example, women get passed over when promotions are available. Same as every industry. And there is the whole harassment problem (which sounds a bit exaggerated but whatever). But when women are recruited they are often put into specialist positions, skipping the grunt stage. This would be like John and Mary join the army, John becomes infantry and Mary is sent to further her skills as a sniper. Why? Because women, apparently, aren't strong enough for standard infantry.

Thats a really big issue and I totally agree with the male-side (not cuz I'm a guy) of this argument. Why should a woman be treated better? Because men are genetically stronger? If a woman wants to join the army, treat her like a guy. No separate barracks, no special treatment, same work load, same gear hell, even the same bathrooms. So you're pregnant? Oh, well you should have considered this happening before joining ma'am. No we can't give you maternity leave, we don't do that anymore. Everybody gets the same deal. End of story. Equality for all, mother fuckers.

Note. Women want the luxuries of females with the benefits of males. This has NOTHING to do with equality.

Just saying.
