a few people have been ripping on sword vs gun, sword wins. if you're saying that it's unrealistic. it's actually not, well not entirely, but it requires a few assumptions
1) the swordsman is very well trained, and has excellent control over his body and senses (this should be given because without this the character wouldn't have their own show)
2) the character has the stamina for continuous sharp movements of his entire body, so that the opponents cannot aim properly (it is quite difficult to hit a moving person, especially at close range, even with an automatic, it is not impossible)
3) the character has excellent tactical ability, not only taking advantage of other tools (gas, flashbangs, caltraps, etc) but also taking advantage of cover (trees, pillars, chest high walls, etc) and also tactical situation (surprise, fear, subterfuge, misc weaknesses, etc)
without any one of these however, yes, i agree, the dude should look like swiss cheese before you can say 'Guy Faukes should have used a remote'
