Perhaps he could run about with this?

Either way Treyach are doing a better job already than Infinity Ward.

I was playing on PS3 with my friend yesterday and it said that over 7k people had already achieved Prestige, this was at around 7pm, not even a full day of the game being out, HOW IN THE HELL IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE!!!!!
You basically have to have played almost non stop since the midnight release. I've got friends in the 50s now and the ranks only go to 60. Hell, I've put in 4 hours of play time since the midnight release and I'm already in the 30s.

Am I the only one that thinks 'If you'd bothered to sufficiently playtest this game and ensure it was glitch free instead of releasing it before it was finished (like almost every other bloody game that's come out in the last 5 years), then glitching wouldn't be a problem'?
Sadly, no, you're not the only one.

Let's visit fantasy land for a moment. Say you want to be ultra-certain of your game, so you hire 100 full-time testers and have them test the finished game for a year before release. They're full-time, so 40 hours/week times 50 weeks a year (two weeks' vacation) for 2000 hours per employee, or 200 000 man-hours of just testing by your dedicated test team.

Black Ops probably ran up more man-hours of actual play by 1am on release day.

By the way, let's say that 200 000 man-hours of dedicated testing cost (if we're being stingy) $15/hour all-told. (Salary, benefits, payroll taxes, test equipment operation, power, rent for the office space, heat, etc.) That's $3 million right there... for effectively 1 hour's worth of live release.

And yet gamers complain that games are too expensive, those greedy studios etc etc etc.

I gotta say, Treyarch really stepped up to the plate, Although I'm sure it has something to do with massive support from Activision after they trashed Infinity Ward and Treyarch became their only hope. Plus they got to learn from all of the errors of Modern Warfare 2.

Still, good job.

I don't glitch, I prefer to act fairly in a game, but I mean seriously, you bring out a product which isn't properly designed/built and then blame others for using it in ways you should have foreseen/safeguarded against? That's a joke right?
No amount of testing can be as thorough as the tens of millions of man hours that have been played since the game was released. Some stuff is bound to slip through the net, what's important is that the glitches get removed before they start ruining games.

What kind of bugs and glitches is he talking about he does explain what type. I have personally have no problem with people exploiting jumps to various usually inaccessible locations as long as they are not like the Chimney in Caretan or that Sniper position in the Death Star on CoD2.

You wouldn't by gold
You wouldn't use a trainer
You wouldn't exploit glitches

Taking advantages of lacking code is being a doucebag

Brilliant timing.

OT: Treyarch are a group of people after my own heart.

The only douchebag is who calls others douchebags.

The irony.

Code your programs right, goddamit.

accurate potrayal of Treyarch while watching exploit and glitch videos:

OT: I haven't seen many glitches, but with already, possibly over, 500 people that prestige'd, there has to be some.
I love you for posting that video. Also the erupting volcano that follows.

Good job Treyarch! I am starting to like them. :D
Yeah. I bought Black Ops for Nazi Zombies, but seeing the campaign and multiplayer, I'm actually starting to forgive Treyarch for World at War.
What was wrong with world at war?

"is wasn't made by those gods infinity ward"
and some people hated on the mp40 jug, but my bolt-action or semi-auto rifle could win 2/3s of the time.

seriously, now, with the features and effort treyarch is making, they are cool.
that and they made spiderman 2, which was great fun.

I've always enjoyed Treyarch's games and this game is no different. The fact that they actually want to bother fixing problems in their games is something that I can get behind.

Getting rid of bugs is always a good idea. Black Ops might not be particularly good but its nice knowing that the devs at least care.

As for the Douche comment its also notable to say that anyone who plays Halo with a mic is a shreiking one. Hell its so bad it bleeds into good games like TF2.
