Tricks of the Eye

You ever had those moments where you see something out of the corner of your eye, mistake it for something, then realize what it really is? It happens to me often, and the difference between what I think it is and what I see are often really funny.

Like today, I've got to write a paragraph on the issue of the different presidential candidate's platforms, so I've got Barrack Obama's website open in a tab. I keep thinking their little logo looks like Cartman from South Park.

There are also shadows in my room caused by light from the windows being blocked by the drapes which look like a Pig and a guy wearing sneakers.

Ever seen something really weird out of the corner of your eye, then found out it was something completely different?

Happens to me all the time whenever I catch sight of something black in the corner of my eye, I always think its my dog, no matter where I am. I have no idea why, but I have caught myself checking on a few occasions when I am round friend's houses or whatever and there's no possibility she could possibly be there.

Aw man, when I was a kid I watched The Sixth Sense with my dad, urgh, I swear that night my room was filled with ghosts, when I could dare to peep out from my covers I saw a monstrous baby-corpse thing writhing on the ground (obviously there wasn't actually anything there). Eventually I plucked up the courage to rush across the room, turn on the light, and put a video of old Simpsons episodes on the TV

I remember not being able to sleep one night because there was a ninja sitting on top of my wardrobe. No matter how much I stared at it, it still looked like a ninja. Freaked the hell out of me.

I found out the following morning that it was actually a sack full of cushions.

Why didn't you just turn on the lights and move it?

One night I couldn't get to sleep and two little green lights from various electronic devices in my room were reflecting off my dresser and that was right near my closet which was open a crack. So the two lights looked like eyes and the crack in the door looked like a mouth and it looked like a sideways face staring at me. I ended up taking a pillow and covering one of the lights so I didn't see it anymore.

when i was little, one night i thought i saw the rim reaper in my bedroom which really scared me (i was about 6 at the time) but in the morning when it was light the 'grim reaper' turned out to be my dressing gown draped over a bunching bag

Whenever I sleep I have a mic stand right next to me, then I wake up it looks like I have an alien stareing at me because i wear contacts so if i take them off everything is blurry..its really creepy when earlier that night you watched a documentary on U.F.O s.

Another one that's a bit sad, after my first cat died, whenever I saw my other cat I though it was her.

Um...well, if not optical illusions, a quarter came out of nowhere in a class in the 6th grade.

Later I realized a douche threw it at me. Still was very cool. I spent it on a cookie.
