What was the Merrill bug?
In the third act, Merrill's story about the mirror comes to an end. However, the bug makes it so, when you go to Merrill's house before the quest even starts, she's weeping over what happened at the end of the quest. Since a major event happens, it spoils the story when she sits there in tears, telling you about something that hasn't happened yet. May I assume that, since you didn't know what the bug was, that they've finally patched it? Or do you not have the game/own it on PC?
As a matter of fact, I own the game on Xbox, and I did encounter said bug. I just forgot about it. However, it didn't spoil the story for me since I was on my second playthrough when it happened and I'd already done Merrill's quests anyway. Lucky me!

Any Bethesda titles? Need I say more?

Dragon Age: Origins had a horrible amount of bugs too.

And hey, doesn't the Call of Duty franchise hold some pretty nasty glitches?
This, hence why I want the console available on the consoles because I play on Xbox and I know damn well in any given Bethesda game I will encounter at least 15 bugs that stop me from completing a quest and being forced to reload a save from hours ago. Oblivion was absolutely notorious for this.

FALLOUT NEW VEGAS

Most glitchy game i've played in my entire life.
You never played Giants: Citizen Kabuto, I presume?

Don't get me wrong here, Fallout: NV was terribly buggy on it's release, but Giants was not even playable. Which was a shame, because it was damn fun. And they never patched the damn thing up, I think the company disappeared or something.

Hellgate: London

Had a memory leak that prevented it from being played for more than an hour at a time before crashing to desktop. That was if it didn't completely cause my machine to do a hard reboot.

Got better with each update, though.

Like it has been mentioned, all the Bethesda titles that occur in an open world, such as the Elder Scrolls IV and the Fallout series.
I'm surprised no one has said Red Dead Redemption! That game was glitchy as all hell.
I also found some major bugs in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. The Parkour animations would fail and I would soar across the rooftops at hyper-speed.

Dragon Age 2 still doesn't support DX11 properly, even after the recent patch which was supposed to do just that.

Also, when everyone in the steam forums reported DX11 errors in the demo Bioware told us "The demo version uses old code and these issues are fixed in the final product." I'll never god damn believe them again those bastards.

If it's a current gen game and it's not made by Valve, Blizzard or in Japan, it's most likely seriously bugged upon release.
Bethesda and Obsidian compete for the gold though.

Quoted for truth.

Fallout NV has got to be up there with the worst of them. It has come to a point where I will never buy anything from that company again.
Your loss man, but their's a new patch coming out this week.

It's going to be Fixing stability issues, something everyone has been hoping for since the game was released.
Name an Obsidian game that HAS NOT been buggy in recent memory.

In Pokemon white, if two or more of my pokemon faint at once in a double or triple battle, the game locks and stubbornly refuses to let me send out another.
Thanks, game, I'll just restart from a half-hour ago, shall I?
Happened to me too. Luckily I had just saved recently to that.

Haven't really played many games with that many glitches recently. Have never played Fable or NV so yeah.
