I'm proud to say that I stopped a troll thread at the root with a giant picture of a troll with the caption "DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS".
I was the first response. The thread got no more traffic, an excellent example of what a troll thread SHOULD look like.

That. If you are letting yourself be trolled you deserve to be trolled, imo. The reason trolls 'do it' as the OP states is that they are trying purposefully to piss you off, annoy you or make you show your bad side. Seriously replying them in a pissed off or annoyed way means that they've achieved their goal with usually little effort - if you're stupid enough to let that happen to you, I *am* going to laugh about it.DannyBoy451 said:

For example, Eminem, Marilyn Manson, Glenn Beck, Jon Stewart, etc. are all professional trolls (though Manson is the only one who kinda looks like one too). They say and do things to get a rise out of people. I find Stewart fairly entertaining, but will admit that sometimes he's just saying things to piss people off.Mozared said:
