So when did the word "troll" start to mean "someone who disagrees with you"?
About 15 or so seconds after the term started being used.
Though it is much more prevalent today, partially because anyone can go read a few encyclopedia dramatica pages and come to some really incorrect conclusions.
On topic: if you want to troll to draw attention to a complaint you need to either turn up or turn down the crazy. Right now you're on the line between normal and crazy, and it just looks awkward and bizarre. Also lol at thinking a cheap ass dev house like Paradox is going to pay people to defend them on the forums when they seem to need to churn out 50 dlcs for magicka to be able to eat or something.
What you're seeing is fanboyism, one of several modern adaptations of tribalism. People group together over their love of x subject and treat those who walk in their territory but don't share their views as invaders that need to be brutally murdered and made an example of(or just irrationally harassed and spammed with rageposts).
Fortunately, this effect can only take hold on those of lower intelligence or with some sort of predisposition(weakness vs. peer pressure ideally) to it.
