Trolling lost its meaning a long time ago. It used to mean being sarcastic (humorously), making funny jokes, occasionally winding people up; but with humour.

Now, all I see on the internet is people saying, "umad?", "cool story bro", "hemad", "Come at me bro"... The list goes on. The sad thing about all of this is that, it's just not funny anymore. I used to laugh for five minutes straight at some troll being a witty bastard, now, though, a troll is someone who thinks themselves superior to everyone else.

Why did the internet have to be the home of idiots?
So the meaning changed.
U mad bro?

Well the D&D handbook says that trolls will regenerate unless killed with fire. I'm sure the police will understand when you refer them to that passage while standing in your friend's smouldering ashes.

If you are reffering to "Meme's", I guess you are right; but, "meme" isn't really a word anyway.

Off topic: You do realise that saying "U mad bro" is counted as trolling and can get you banned?

So your friend just 'trolls' you? I wasn't aware trolling worked like that.
This is very relevant.

I don't think you can troll someone if they know you are trolling them. What you are doing is pranking each other. To troll someone you deliberately pretend to hate or disagree with something they value, and then laugh as they get defensive and go to great lengths to defend themselves against your nonsensical arguments. It's a pretty specific thing.

Not trolling if it's said ironically.
