Never do I troll, nor do I feed the troll. However, I do love watching someone get furious at a troll whose doing what he loves correctly.

Furthermore, Deus Ex sucks, God Hand sucks, Halo 2 is the best game ever made.

Trolling is just childish really. People who get their kicks out of pissing people off need to get a life.

Its rare you can even find one of these 'trolls' that can even put together a witty comment, or at least one they actually thought of themselves.

Can be kind of entertaining if done well.

There was a thread here a while back titled 'So tell me, Halo fans...', which was actually a question on Nihilism. Obviously no answer was expected, but the number of people who piled in to defend their beloved franchise based on thread title alone was astounding. As was the number of people who piled in to denigrate said franchise.
The idea of it made me laugh.
I must know what the question was.

I'm afraid I can't remember. Something about how one philosopher who claimed to be nihilist seemed to contradict that view on a regular basis in his writings.

How did he relate this to Halo? Or was that the point? Srsli, I want to commend this troll because this was clearly well thought out.

That was the point. It basically laid out how (possibly Jean-Paul Sartre) seemed to contradict himself in his works, and then ended with 'So, Halo fans, why is this?'

And halo fans still came running and tried to answer? Brilliant. I adore this man and I haven't even seen the thread.

The ones on Art of Trolling: Hilarious.

All the other ones: attention seeking douches who think they're far more clever then they actually are.

I hate Trolls.

Even the 'clever' ones. I mean seriously how is that even a compliment? Congratulations! You are above average when it comes to being a dick.
This. How can anyone take pride in being the biggest asshole to as many people as they possibly can? It doesn't make you more popular, nor more powerful, nor more pleasant to be around. The only thing it does is piss people off. Not quite sure how that's something that people find entertaining.

This is the /b/ troll. I don't count them, because their idea of trolling is calling someone a douchenugget, then putting a picture of trollface followed by "Problem?"

I think some people here take the internet too seriously.

If you get pissed off that easily by what some idiot on the internet says to you, then you deserve to get trolled.

As for trolling itself, like anything else it can be turned into what basically amounts to an artform. I don't have any problem with the act of trolling itself, but when people get too assholish, that's when it starts to get on my nerves. There's a difference between being a good troll and straight up being an asshole to people to try and get a rise out of them, and that latter type isn't welcome anywhere.

I enjoy a good, well thought out troll.
what annoys me are people who span memes at you.

Back when I worked on the force, they called me perceptive because I could identify someone's tastes using only their avatar. I used the same techniques to determine that you like MS Paint Adventures, based only on the clue that you use an avatar from MS Paint Adventures.
