Hey! I've got my hands on a philips tv, a big one, I think it's an LCD monitor.
Needless to say, I'm psyched about it, and want to game on it, seeing as it is a significant improvement on my old one. Trouble is, my little bro managed to disappear my xbox SCART connector, so now I've got the standard one that plugs into the xbox, and has a red, a yellow and a white plug in the other end. Trouble is, the TV has two red slots, a white one, a blue one and a green one, confusing the hell outta me. I've tried all possible plug-in combinations, but got no results.
Also, I'm not sure I managed to put it on the A/V 'channel'...darn newfangled TV zappers.
So yeah, that's my situation, I hope for a quick response that works.
Thank y'all for reading (and hopefully, replying to) this.

You need a scart adapter to use it on newer tvs such as this one http://www.2-game.be/games/Xbox360%20Scart%20blokje.jpg

The default 360 connector is of the composite video [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Composite_video] variety, therefore one RCA connector (yellow) for video.

The input on newer TVs and monitors tend to be HDMI and component video [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Component_video], therefore three RCA connectors (red, blue and green) to better capture the range of video colours.

With both of these types of cables, your audio RCA inputs will still be the same: red and white. That is why composite has yellow, red and white, and component has 2x red, green, blue and white.

My recommendation is to forget about your old SCART and buy yourself a component one such as this:

This will allow you to take full advantage of your new monitor. Component is considerably better than composite, for obvious reasons.
