TRYING to figure out name of a game. PLEASE HELP!

As far as i can remember it was a ps2 game. I dont remember much about it except i think it was an rpg or swordfighting game. And the only mechanic that i remember was that the main character who was a girl could use magic to turn these purple blobs into amber stones/crystals only for a few seconds do since the blobs were portals to fight monsters.

So please help. It was a good game, if only someone could help find the name.

I know this got sent to the other thread but reading the description I was faintly reminded of Beyond Good & Evil. PS2 game, girl protagonist, swordfighting (kinda), the whole puple/crystal thing...

Sounds like Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria. Was the girl blonde with another personality reside inside of her?
