The only time I turn it down is when I'm sleeping it off!
Or when I don't want to listen to it, or someone is trying to talk to me or someone asks me to turn it down because they don't want to listen to it or they think it's too loud. Hmm, there are actually quite a few times when I'll it turn down now that I think about it.
