I remember people in the forums saying the F2P bringing in loads of players meant it'd be ok. That was what? 2 months ago if that?

They should have never loaded the game with over $200 bucks of DLC at launch. And they should have never made the Wraith so OP.

Bet some people are feeling real stupid they pre-ordered the "Ultimate Darwin Wasn't Thinking With Portals Edition" now, aren't they?

This is unfortunate, I could see some potential here that would break the mold of constant fps or moba formats. Maybe this game will inspire another group to actually follow through with finishing a similar game and allow it to actually grow.

Hmm it appears that their mission was accomplished, Objective cash up front flash in the pan completed. I guess the turn n burn approach will keep going until enough companies tell the money junkie investor types to take a hike and go wreck some other company.

Oh wait... did Steven not read the annoucement before proceeding to bash a game studio that will file chapter 11 in a month or so?
Does he ever? Most of the time it's click-bait articles or news posts ripped straight from Twitter, Reddit, or some other site. Hell, there've been times when the title of the article and 90% of the content therein are copied word for word from another site's article.

Much of the time I honestly question whether he's even typed most of what's written. That is, besides the interspersed snarky insults or Fox News-esque wrap-up questions.

Fuck's sake, what happened to this site?

Copious amounts of premium DLC, poor marketing, and a lack of variety are what killed Evolve. (the former two most likely being primarily 2K's responsibility)

Which is a shame. Turtle Rock houses some talented people.

You're not wrong. They gave us Left 4 Dead 1. It is a shame. The idea seemed super cool.
