The 'Where the Wild Things Are' movie. God that was sad. For me it's basically about a kid losing his childhood. Given that it was also one of James Gandolfini's last roles makes it even more depressing. That man had such range and emotion. Damn!

Pixar are VERY good at assaulting my feels. The worst up to date was probably Toy Story 3 with THAT scene. I've seen it 3 times, knew what was coming two of the times and still blubbed like a *****.
Up and Wall-E had me boohooing, as well as shouting at the TV.
Disney has always also been very good (especially for scaring the shit out of me as a kid).

Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I'm currently rewatching it, still at season 3 and I'm dreading Season 5 'cause it had me constantly in tears, especially the episodes where
Buffy's mom dies.

That gave me nightmares when I was in my teens and the finality of death finally dawned on me.

For movies there are the obvious - Land Before Time, Iron Giant, Lion King, Lilo and Stitch. Then there's also The Professional, a French film from 1981 starring Jean-Paul Belmondo. He plays an assassin who is sent to jail by his own government when they suddenly become friends with his assassination target. He gets out and wants to finish the job. I watched it for the first time when I was 5, then again when I was 8 or 9 and when I was in my 20's.

The ending drop kicked me in the gut every time.

Though I'm not necessarily a fan, the last half of the 2nd series of Clannad got me pretty good. I'm talking clutching a pillow while my eyes leak uncontrollably and I sob and moan. There was one point where I literally vocalised my feelings and went "No... no no no no. You can't do this. NO!". Actually, I lie, there was more then a few, but the others came out as murmuring and blubbering. I was emotionally fatigued afterwards.

The rest of the series was pretty basic Slice of Life anime drama. Then there is a serious shift in tone in the 2nd series and the last half of it I found pretty heart wrenching.

Other then that I can name numerous media that get me emotional. I can get quite engaged with a show/film/game/song and feel very strong emotions from them.

I'm quite an emotional fella.

It's Jean Reno, and it's also the first Natalie Portman first film.

That one episode on StarGate : Atlantis when McKay gets that parasite in his brain.
SG:A isn't regarded as the most emotional of series I know, but that particular episode really hit it. Especially the video-logs documenting McKay's mental degeneration.

There are at least half a dozen moments in Puella Magi Madoka Magica. It's a rather depressing series at times.

Mami's death was just horrible. They'd built up the scene before it where Madoka promises to join her, she gets to what seems like an easy battle and then out of nowhere her body is falling to the floor dead. Madoka and Sayaka's crushed (metaphorically) faces and reactions just made it even worse.

When Madoka thinks Sayaka is dead after she throws her soul gem away.

Sayaka turning into a witch.

Madoka and Homura dying together in one of the pasts.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood has a handful of moments, but the one that most stands out is in the spoiler tags.

Nina being turned into a Chimera by her father. That was a sucker punch if I ever saw one.

There are other films that have a couple of moments such as Up, Pixar are very good at making emotional films.

Cloud Atlas. I love that movie, and the ending sequence is freaking emotional whiplash. Frobisher's ending is a helluva tearjerker, Cavendish's climax is positively hilarious, and Sonmi... in amongst it all is this scene, which is one of the most bittersweet scenes I have ever seen:
The audio's a little out of sync, but yeah. Amazing film.

Nope. I knew people might confuse them, hence the specification of main actor and year. You're thinking of Léon: The Professional [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Professionnel] while I'm talking about Le Professionnel [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Professionnel].

Only two scenes from films or shows have made me get teary.

Firefly - The ending credits of episode 14, thinking that it was all over.

Les Miserables - The song Red and Black. I guess I'm a revolutionary at heart.

There are a few more that I came close with:

Full Metal Alchemist - When Tucker does the thing with Nina and Alexander... ... you know what happened.

Schindler's List - Oskar wishing he added more names to the list.

Casino Royale - Vesper underwater.

Cowboy Bebob - The last time it reads 'See you, space cowboy.'

Casablanca - The La Marseillaise scene.

The Lion King - Mufasa's fall

Baccano! - The scene with the dominos.

Parks and Recreation was incredibly heartwarming and funny, especially the whole Ben-Leslie ark. They both are such doofuses and watching them romance was incredible.

One of the final scenes from my favorite movie The Last Samurai. "Perfect, they are all perfect". Damn it.

Green Mile was the first movie that ever made me cry.

And scene with Nanako and Dojima from Persona 4: Anime. That is such a beautiful and heartwarming moment that I just can't help myself.

Adventure Time, when we find out about the Ice King's past. I mean talk about a punch to the gut... And Tom Kenny's performance in those episodes really doesn't help...!

Another would be The Simpsons episode "Bart Get's an F", made even worse for me since I've actually been there...

In South Park when we find out that not only is Kenny Mysterion... but the really can't die, explaining why he dies and comes back so often. But then we realize: how long has this been going on? Since the show began? Or even further than that? Dunno about anyone else, but I'll never be able to hear the words "Oh My God, they killed Kenny!" "You Bastards!" the same way again...

Also, "You're Getting Old". Sweet Jesus that was a depressing episode... to bad the very next episode ruined it... damn status quo...

There are so many moments to choose from, but there are two in particular got to me.
When Zuko and Iroh finally reunite in the final episodes. It was just... wow.

Then of course there was the scene in season 2 where Iroh was singing to his son on his birthday.

Another good one is the My Name is Earl episode where his parents find out he's in a coma. The part where his dad leans over the hospital bed and says "I never gave up on you... And I never will." I'm a sucker for awesome dad scenes.
