There are lots of incredible TV series. Brilliant ones. But only the rare few bring us back for second, third or indefinite helpings. Especially with yet more gems being produced every year. Yet more "must watch" TV and only so much time.

So what's a series that frequently brings you back for a full go around? For me, it's Avatar: The Legend of Aang (and Korra). It's such a well done, well developed adventure, with animation that has the fluidity of western animation and the gorgeous detail and angles of Japanese animation. I've gone through this series start to finish once a year every year since 2011, and I don't intend to stop any time soon. It's amazing how many other series I go back to thinking "I'll watch this start to finish" or how many new series I try to binge to completion only to get sidetracked by other things. But Avatar seems to be the thing I never lose interest in.

Father Ted.
It never gets old.
Ha, spider baby.

David Tennant's stay as Doctor Who, especially season 2 and 3.
I don't want to admit how many times I've watched those episodes.

Also, for some reason, I always end up watching episodes of Friends if I ever sit in front of the tv while I'm eating dinner or something. I've seen every episode multiple times but I rarely turn it off.

Avatar for me as well, and also Psych. I never get tired of Psych's witty lines or likable characters. I don't go fully around, obviously, that'd take DAYS, but I go back and watch random episodes frequently.

I've rewatched Baka and Test three times now. I still laugh like an idiot every time. Before I started to sleep without a TV on I watched American Dad an hour a night, four days a week for two years. I've seen every episode at least four times and once again still laugh like an idiot at all the bad jokes.

Two favorites of mine that i have rewatched alot have been OZ and The Shield both are great dramas that even though you know how it ends it is still worth watching again.

I might Add Breaking bad to that list but i have yet to see the final half of the new season.

I rewatch Gurren Lagann every so often. The English dub is pretty good, the guy who voices Kamina does a good job of it even with the huge shoes to fill in the original Japanese dub. My rule is if the English dub isn't terrible (believe me, a lot of them are) and/or involves JYB i'll watch it. I fucking love that guy. His Lelouch in Code Geass was brilliant.

The only two shows I've rewatched to death are Cowboy Bebop (which is getting some exposure in this site's recent slew of videos, for some reason) and Sopranos.

Scrubs!

One of the few shows I actually own the seasons of, though it has been a year or so since I last marathoned the series. I'm thinking it's coming up on the time to do that again, actually.

Firefly, as well, and I never really get sick of watching Star Trek, The Next Generation, or Deep Space Nine.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

I first watched it around Fall 2012 and I've re-watched a good three or four times since then.

Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. I rewatch those series every once in awhile. In fact, no lie, I'm watching it right now. The episode is Question Authority, the first episode in the 4-part season1 finale.

It suddenly occurs to me that that 4-part finale is probably the best superhero fiction I've ever watched. Probably as good as the Avengers movie. Hmm...

FLCL and Madoka Magica.

I've been rewatching FLCL since it first aired on Adult Swim when I was 10, and in the two years since it first release I've seen Madoka Magica almost as much times as I've seen FLCL over the past ten years.

It's not just the quirky, dry humor, it's that terrific Wes Anderson charm that has me coming back to it every so often. I love the characters, I love the visual aesthetic, and I absolutely adore the soundtrack.

Now if only I could get this fucking series on DVD somewhere...

Avatar: TLA and Korra definitely. Absolutely adore those two series.

Scrubs as well. Funny yet genuine at the same time, has a lot more heart than most sitcoms.

[i/]Community[/i]

I'm on my fourth time through and I still love the hell out of it.

Having attended a community college for the last half decade, I was hooked from the opening speech the dean gives. I know every character in Season 1 in some way.

By Season 2, it was less that I felt a kinship and more just enjoying the lunacy and incredible casting/acting/writing.

I'm even one of those weird fuckers that enjoyed the hell out of Season 4. Yeah, it was dumb and had some of the worst episodes, but it was still damn funny for the most part. Especially the Doctor Who parodies and the subsequent American version. I also liked that there was actual character development in a few of the S4 episodes.

Psych's 'witty' characters make me want to bludgeon everyone in my neighborhood to death with a hammer.

I rewatch IT Crowd, Blue Mountain State, and Better Off Ted frequently, whenever I need a good laugh or just some back ground noise. Firefly+Serenity get watched at leas once a year. I also bust out the Boston Legal DVDs once a year, just for some more beautiful Bromance between Spader and Shatner.

Band of Brothers.

If it's on the telly I have to watch it.

Probably one of the best HBO TV-series out there.

Although I don't really watch it for the fact that its good. I rewatch 'V' every once in a while to get a good dose of how bad it can get. It helps me appreciate everything else that much more.
