It may just be me, but I find TV today to be hard to watch. Shows today just feel so dissapointing to me. What I want to know from people is if there's anything on TV worth watching and if so, what shows are they?

Keep in mind, I'm looking for currently ongoing shows, meaning shows who's stories have no current ending or is about to recieve a new season.

My current list is as follows:

Eureka
Doctor Who
Sanctuary
Warehouse 13
Haven
Sacred Seven
Tiger and Bunny
Thundercats

EDIT: Shows added in thanks to some of the posters here for reminding me
Leverage
Burn Notice
Torchwood (now that I can see past seasons)
Alphas
Being Human
Misfits
EDIT (again): Chuck
Also Keep in mind I'm looking for CURRENT shows. shows that still have pending seasons or are currently in a new season.

I know shows like Lost and Stargate are awesome (to me anyways), but they ended ages ago.

Honestly? I agree with you. I cancelled my cable a few months ago. There is nothing worth paying that much for and I can watch most of what I want free anyway by going to the tv stations websites using the internet i also pay for. Why pay twice?

First off it's always nice to see a fellow Doctor Who fan. Secondly, I'd watch Torchwood but it's so difficult to find online to watch the earlier bits.

There's not much at all worth watching on TV. All that's on my list is:

Doctor Who
Game of Thrones
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

That's it. I can't think of anything else good that's currently being produced. And we have ages to wait until the next Game of Thrones series starts.

By earlier bits do you mean previous series?

I think i stoped watching television on a daily basis about 5 years ago, i got the internet and soon learned that pretty much anything on tv is on the net, i'll openly admit that if a particular series catches my eye i'll probably download it and then delete it after, i know this is basicly being a scumbag but its far too conveinent to just d/l a series rather than trying to watch one episode a week, i will still buy shows that i especialy like but thats hardly a justifaction, i do still own a tv but it doesnt get much use, maybe for a few minuets in the morning i put the news on while i get ready for work.

As for any recomendations im not realy gonna give any, i know what i like and im not about to dictate to somone that they 'must' see it.

I think there is still quite a few good shows.

Family guy/American Dad/anything else made by the same people
Deadliest Warrior
South Park
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

There are many that I'm not thinking of at the moment though.

I find Burn notice quite good, and I'm keen on the big bang theory, but other than that I'm kinda in the same boat.

Ok family Guy and american dad are pretty decent but I haven't heard of Seth Macfarlane doing anything else recently.

Deadliest warrior is.....hard to place for me...I like it, but I don't try to watch it regularly.

Of this list, I agree with Suits and Fringe though I have the same problem that I had with Torchwood. I'm also waiting for the new season of Misfits....not coming til next year *angry face*

The new Syfy show Alphas is pretty good so far. So is, in my opinion, the North American version of Being Human (though the new season doesn't start until January).
Castle (ABC) is coming back soon.
NCIS (NBC) is also coming back.
The Venture Brothers (Cartoon Network/ Adult Swim) hasn't been canceled, but I don't know when the new season will start.
Young Justice (cartoon network) is still ongoing, as far as I know.

There are some people on here with an awful taste in programmes. Dr who, really? Every episode is there is something threatening something then the doctor saves the day or in the case of a double bill the next episode. When you know he is going to save the day there is no suspense.

On topic. Try House, misfits, Shameless, sons of anarchy, NCIS, CSI (there's fucking hundreds of them), psych, (never seen it but try) lost.

Easily one of the best zombie anythings ever made he doesn't just grab one gun and half a clip of ammo he grabs all of them and 700 rounds like a not idiot.

Go old school. The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits and Thriller (narrated by Boris Karloff) on DVD. Then you'll see why The Simpsons isn't as original as you may have thought.
