Dark Angel. Jessica Alba before she became just another can't-act pretty face taking predictable boring roles. Sigh.

I know it's been said (in the first post) but Megas XL-Frigging-R. For the uninformed Megas was a celebtation of guy culture, it was a show made by guys for guys based on the things WE like. Chicks, Wrestling, Video Games, Breaking stuff, Fast Food, Rock Music, Muscle Cars and OF COURSE Giant Robots (Chicks dig Giant Robots)

It was an American made series that KNEW how to make the premise work, Coop was someone we could relate to because we gamed, we ate, we wanted to be behind the controls of a giant robot smashing shit up! Jamie was for the guys who couldn't relate to Coop, the guys who hung with there friends thinking about chicks and snarking about bad ideas. Not as reckless but still a pretty cool guy.

And Kiva... ahhh Kiva, Heroes want Red Heads what can I say? She was a smoking red head from the future who kicked ass and took names, the guys behind Megas obviously understood that babes and mecha go together REALLY well, especially babes IN mecha (For that short lived time)

Add into the fact that they threw references to shows like Mazinger Z, Voltes V, Raideen, Sailor Moon, and it WASN'T a Take That it was a homage! I have the whole series on my computer and JUST marathoned it, there were so many ideas they never got to use. (If the series had not been canceled it would have been revealed that Coop was responsible for EVERYTHING including the Glorft)

I mean cmon this was a series that was perfectly fine with showing the main character to be a slobby fat man who loved games and often fucked the world/town he was trying to save!

A show I can't believe anyone has mentioned is The Big O. Again for the uninformed it was pretty much Batman with a giant robot, Except instead of dressing up as a rodent and a millionaire on the side Roger was a Negotiator in a city that had lost it's memories of 40 years ago.

If you were a fan of Batman the Animated series then you would have loved Big O.

On a final note Batman Beyond, I really liked the show even if it wasn't the original Bruce Wayne as Batman, it makes me upset that this will never have a sequel or movie...
This, this and that. All agreed.

I loved all three of those shows. I can relate to Coop with my love of giant robots and greasy foods, not to mention I loved all the homages that didn't make fun of the old shows, but instead made fun WITH the shows. That's talent. Jamie was the funny guy and Kiva was the hot one. No argument there.

Big O was also awesome. It felt like a Gundam and Batman sandwich with extra awesome sauce slathered all over it. Even if it did leave me utterly confused. Same with Batman Beyond.

But another show I'll miss is the old Nickelodeon lineup. Ren and Stimpy, Doug, Rugrats, the whole shebang.

Good times... good times...

I miss Transformers, TMNT, ZOIDS, Beast Wars, and Slayers. More later if I can think of any and/or remember to update.

The British version of The Office. Ricky Gervais is infinitely way more funny than Steve Carell.
