The game itself (should it be made) i have exteremely high expectations that it will fail mainly because it's a cheap gaming cash-in to a hollywood movie based on a book franchise. It seems many people of media are trying to do with Twilight that has been done with Star Wars only Star Wars had had moderate success behind it.

Here's the thing, I think. The best Star Wars games are only tangentially related to the movies. I still think a game tangentially based on Twilight could be quite good.

This was featured on the home page a couple of weeks ago so the news is rather old.
Not only that, there was someone with the exact same story earlier today!

From what I've heard people say (I will never read the books or watch the movies), apparently each "vampire" has a unique superpower.
Hey, now, use the proper term. "Sparklepires".

I hope it's released for PC, and has extremely steap hardware requirements. Like, you need a GeForce 480 to see Edward's nipples, and an i7 Extreme for his scruffy neckbeard to show up. That would really revitalize the PC gaming market. Especially once people make nude mods.

The Wide, Brown One.
I just can't find the energy to care about it.

If they make the game then... what? The books didn't somehow manage to leach into every other book in the world and pollute them. The movies failed to do the same with other films. The games will not suddenly cause the destruction of every game you actually like.

As long as making the game doesn't cause some dev studio I like to Ion Storm themselves, I really couldn't care.

Eh, I could care more. I could also care less.
Having watched both movies, wilfully and not forced by anything (First Twilight was actually watched for a laugh) I think, if they attempt to make a Twilight game, it may be OK. Not ground-breaking but not as bad as some games are/were. *Remembers a game that you build a time-machine and then...that's it*

I'd play a demo of it, certainly.

And after reading the other comments, I shall now flee and hide in a very, very, very, very, very, very secure underground bunker. Bye! *Flees*

Let me dig up what I said at the other thread...

Mr. Grey said:
If they keep Stephanie Meyer away from the freaking dialogue and story, I think we can get something very coherent and something I can come to enjoy. It's her freaking rants about Eduard that made me hate the book and that her plot isn't much of one.

I couldn't give a crap if they sparkled, that makes sense... does not the Venus Fly Trap look beautiful to capture its prey? Them sparkling to do the same makes sense in the case of evolution. Them being the "perfect" breed however, I can't tolerate... everything needs a weakness. Even we humans have one, for example... without a cell phone we're screwed.

So yeah, it's the story I'm concerned about with the game. Hire somebody competent to take over and actually build good dialogue, flow and plot... I'd vastly consider it. Add great gameplay and I'm hovering my mouse over the "Add To Cart". Make sure none of the original cast of Twilight are in it and it takes place elsewhere, then I'm sold.
Ah there we go. With a minor edit there.

You'd be suprised at the shovelware that people play these days. My mum's probably downstairs right now playing style boutique - a freaking shopping simulator. Just imagine if something like that had sparkly vampires in it.

"MISSION OBJECT: BE THE SPARKLIEST VAMPIRE."

I see the potential here!
That may have made my day.
It sounds like a truly awful idea. I suggest every member of the escapist takes over every games shop and refuses to sell consoles and games to sparkling edward loving squealing small creatures. That should cover the majority of the fans.

I'm assuming you mean well, so I won't report. For this to not be considered trolling, you must link him to a thread. Also, we don't kindly to terms like yo around here, just a heads up.

I worry for the sanity of the developers, more so than the mental state of the potential consumers.
Making Twilight games can't be good for one's mental health.
