moviebob's article about twilight fangirls pretty much says it all - this is all there is for them, and they are a huge demographic. Ignoring them is making a shlock author bank, and she probably deserves it. She found a ravenous niche in the market (probably was in that market herself), and is making crazy money because of it.

don't hate the player, hate the game... and the movie. but don't hate the fact that it exists.. that's not fair to our younger female cousins.. they deserve better than that, and they deserve better then this movie.

But that's what they got.

Am I the only one who has no clue what Twilight is? I know it's about vampires or something....and they don't do anything that vampires do (fangs, turn into bats, die via stake or light.) and that every teenage girl in the world is going fucking gaga for it.

I'm a bit lost here. Or did I just sum up the entire thing?

Yeah... Now they might think some people like this stuff. (not even the fan girls like it. They are just the most susceptible to the hypnosis technique used in both the book and the movie. It's the latest conspiracy. Haven't you heard about it?)

You know, I love everyone's reaction in this thread. Way to blow things out of proportion guys, seriously.

It's just a movie.

I agree.
Just a movie.
However, I'm planning to see it next week.
You know, when it's died down a little and the crazy "Drink my blood" fans have gone.

Probably because all the fanbrats on my Fapbook have seen it about 6 times.
And my friend told me one girl went to the cinema 50 times o_O or some drastic number.

I wonder where they got their money from to see the movie. I mean, you can't get a job at 12 can you?
=P

Some parents spoil their children. I think it sets a bad precedent in the future for such things, but hey-ho.

I dunno, I think they're part of the experience. Twilight's fanbase seem to be a big part of the whole thing.

Along with its hatebase.

That's it. Just... Fuck it. I'm going to the Warhammer 40k universe. At least the hopelessness you feel there is caused by far more awesome things, like space elve nuns or gigantic green football mobs on an endless riot destroying your colony.
OFT

When you find a way to get there let me now i need to do my duty for the Cadian 8th and live my 14 hours on the front line. At least it would be over quicker, and lets face it i would die for something i loved.

Well, I'm going in the middle of the day when they should all be in collage/school hopefully.
But if not, hey, chance to meet someone I 'spose.

The only time I watched the first "Twilight" film was a few days ago when my Sister borrowed a copy from the Library (She's not a fangirl to the series, just curious like I am on what goes on in the film).

It's not really the world's diseases wrapped together in a movie that instantly infects anyone who watches it and has rapid acceleration involved...but it ain't a good film either.

I actually liked some of the secondary characters in that one: Bella's Father, the other vampire family members--Hell, Jacob was interesting in there too.

Pity though the main protagonists in the film were...creepy.

Mhmm, I guess they still get pocket money at 12. I stopped getting it when I was about 8/9 >_<
I'm making a mental reminder to not spoil my kids, they never appriciate what they have and turn into little brats. T.T

Learning the value of money is an important part of growing up, something I wonder if some children ever really discover.

And what we think of as "pocket money" may not even exist for them. They just get money when they ask for it. Such things are not unheard of.

So, New Moon is standing next to MewTwo? What does that tell you?
What?
Is there a new Pokemon movie out that I don't know about?
I should hope not. What're they up to now, 14?

Either way, Mewtwo=Modern Warfare 2.

I'm in, after all I saw the lines to the movie theaters last night, tons of girls, a large amount of bored looking guys and the smart people that went to other movies. I watched the first one for a girl, but after that she knew i wasnt going to watch the second. In 40k there is aways war, plenty of flamers, and the inquisition to burn bad books... so many choices of how to get rid of that book :)

I don't understand how something so terrible can be so popular.
