This is a new and original thought.

Oh yeah, the vampires in Twilight really are vampires. Arguably they are some of the most powerful vampires. The vampires in Twilight are incredibly fast and strong. Apparently each one has their own incredibly and unique power. And they do drink blood. So yeah, despite the fact they glitter they are actually more badass than most other vampires.

They don't drink blood. Seriously.

She's stated they tear open throats and lick up the remains. Don't even have fangs. While this technically is drinking, it is still stupid.

Mainly, I hate em because they're all immense Mary Sues. No flaws, other then Raepface Syndrome.

I just have a problem with the whole sparkly thing, the rest of the recipe is fine but that is the metaphorical shot of Baileys that ruins it. If you wanted modern vampires see any Blade film of 30 days of night for example. the reason Twilight has them sparkle is to attempt to inject something new to the vampire concept. The classic story of dracula by bram stoker did everything else first, impressionable woman and undead vampire fall in love, people rather they didnt, mayhem ensues etc etc. now the new movie has the vamps fighting werewolves? Underworld anyone? I'm still trying to figure out what exactly is so unique about twilight apart from the modern time setting and sparkles. any other vampire story can top that and still crowbar in a love story somewhere.

I would hope for a better plot as well. Spoiler, I heard about in a video which could be true: Everybody is alright with the dude eating a baby out of the female human's womb. Also, they just stand around and talk at the end of the book. No fighting. Gah! Oh and I wouldn't read twilight if the plot was good because I don't really want to read Meyer's sexual fantasies.
