I liked Blade's vampires: superhumanly strong and attractive, no weakness to garlic, crosses or silver, can enter a house without permission, they don't age and they view humans as very little more than food and an occasional body that can go out in sunlight. Speaking of which: they are vunerable to sunlight (and UV grenades) and a good stake through the heart. Almost makes you think we have a chance, huh?
However - while that is what I like to think of as a "true" vampire - if I had some sort of vampire based genie pop out of a lamp today and tell me he could turn me into a vampire from any one mythos, hell yeah I'd choose Twilight. The point is that it's desirable to be one of those vampires, as opposed to vampirism being a curse.
EDIT: Forgot the second part, as for who I'd like to see fight Edward I'd have to go for the heroin of Underworld. Because you know, she's hot so seeing more of her is good.

Gotta go with the Blade-crowd here. Except for that "reaper strain" shenanigan they pulled in Blade 2, those were just silly (and the action-scenes were pretty dull compared to the ones in the first film I might add).
Also, I'd love to visit a nightclub where the sprinkler system shower the partygoers in bovineblood. That would be pretty awesome in a decadent sort of way. >
One thing I've always considered quite strange and "unrealistic" about vampires though:
Why are they always presented as being so hyper-sexual? I mean, I get the murderous disregard for human life part (after all, normal humans pretty much would turn to cattle and playthings in the eyes of a vampire), but it seems to me that if a biological creature somehow manage to become biologically immortal or unable to die of old age, then the sexdrive would atrophy eventually.
After all, if your new biological make-up insures that you can't die of old age and even makes you resilient to injury that would kill most normal humans, then there wouldn't really be any need for procreation since your DNA will "live" forever as long as you're not stupid enough to loiter around in the sunlight (which the rather painful stimuli seem to be put in place to insure that you don't).
I'd like to see more asexual serial killer like vampires in media rather than the "dark romantic" poofs or the overly promiscuous types. Somehow it would make more sense to me if they behaved more asexually and violent than sexual and passionate...

The only good vampire. Although, some from Thailand are pretty cool too.
The only vampire to ever scare me in the slightest. All others are wrong.

I'm severly hoping you're joking. XD Thats supposed to be Edward. Couldnt find a good one of someone assault Jacob, plus I think the guy that plays him is a semi decent actor. Just like the girl that plays Bella Swan is a semi decent actress.likalaruku said:
