Um.... how is that possible?

That can't be possible. You can't get pregnant by two different guys at the same time.

Must have been one crazy 3 way.

Well... that's special. At least the twins weren't conceived in that special, slightly kinky way my head flashed to before reading the article...

Yeah, it is also possible (if my memory is correct) to have twin from eggs that were fertilized at a different time, they are close together like a difference of days or so.

I must say, poor soul.

Being forced to marry this asshole, an incredibly rare turn of events reveal that her twins are from two different fathers, her sons are taken away, and she receives death threats.

Fucking assholes is all I can say.

"CK, for her part, has received death threats both from her own and her husband's family and secured a court order preventing relatives from coming within 500 metres of her, it added." is the part of the article I find most ridiculous. I mean it sucks that she cheated, but really?

Well seeing as she was forced to marry her (ex-)husband, can you really blame her for not being faithful? Though if you know the parents of the second twin, why would he be sent into state care instead of given to his rightful parents?

No, I've never heard of heteropaternal superfecundation before reading that article, but like it says, it's only very rare but not impossible.

Although, I've read (on Wikipedia just now) it's more common in ancient mythology and on American TV.

In regards to the article, the fallout of the discovery seems quite harsh on the 'bastard child' and mother, but unfortunately not altogether unsurprising.

*Laugh track plays*

OT: Seriously. Turkey is a MALE controled system, and being unfaithful in that country is BAAAAAAAAAD.

I guess Turkish culture is very family/morality orientated.
Like you said she cheated, but goddamn you'd be pissed off at getting caught this way!

Highly unlikely, but possible. In order for that to happen the mother would have to have released two eggs or had one egg split before fertilization, and then have had sex with both fathers within a few days.

Are they IN turkey or just about a turkish couple somewhere? If it's a western nation, she could still end up with the kids, the house and his money even though she cheated and bred with another guy.. now THAT would suck.

That's... wow. So that means she got pregnant while she was already pregnant, correct?

I simply don't know what to say to this.

Yes basically that's what happened. Maybe she was made to sleep with the husband and then nipped over to the boyfriend's house to get hubby's love-stink off her with some real action...

I don't really know, but it certainly is unusual.
