I really don't understand all the hate this show gets, I always liked it and I think it's a pity that it was cancelled.
I enjoyed the show actually. I figured that sometime or other he should've gotten with Rose. She was good looking enough, and cute in a crazy omg why the hell won't you leave me alone kind of way. XD
Anyways, I CAN see why people would be annoyed with Charlie and the show, cause of the chauvanistic attitude and whatnot.

Jake, as he got older intead of trying to do anything with the charachter they just make him a dumbass...but mabye he was like that all along I supose, but making somone dumb seems to be the easyest way to make a "funny" charachter
Now in english class we actually looked at an episode to see how women are portrayed, I surprised that...well its not that great, now Im not going to yell and call it mysoganist, I think charlie did get marryed or somthing and they introduced a female charachter who wasnt a totaly ***** or dumbass
the only two charachters who I found likeable (and using that word generously) were eather rose or the housekeeper (no Im not some crazy man-hating feminist I promise)
anyway like I said thats just me, I didnt watch alot of it so thats what Im going on
Great show, why people dislike it, well that's their business, but the only probably was 2.5, or .5 = Jake, and as he became closer to being an adult, that aspect of the show narrowed, so even if Jake started at 10, the show couldn't go longer then 8 seasons, ideally, if he started at 6, it could end when he was 14-16, after a maximum of 10 seasons.
Well, that's one opinion then. It's not the fact that people hate the show, it's just that every time I look at comments about the show, 8/10 of them are just different ways of saying 'this show sucks'. Since me and all of my friends and family like the show, it just makes me wonder. I'm glad you gave a proper reason unlike many of the comments I've read.Vault101 said:

Only saw bits of that show, but what I saw consisted of nothing over than laugh tracks. People sitting in chairs doing nothing isn't funny. People getting up to answer the door when they here a knock isn't funny. Another person being on the other side of the door isn't funny. You stick a laughtrack on that and it still isn't funny.
My father loved the show. In my opinion, it seemed to be based too much on stupid humor and 'sex' comedy. I guess that's why it was so popular, but I didn't really care for it too much. As for why it was 'canceled' (though it sounds like it wasn't canceled so much as Sheen's going to be replaced and the current season has been cut down to get him out of it faster), I think that Sheen has been becoming his character... an alcoholic who thought he was amazing and had a very large stupid-streak. Now, I could be wrong there. I don't know the man myself. But that's just the way it's seemed to me based on what I've heard. It's like he doesn't know when to close his freaking mouth.

I really hope that show was shit-canned. I'm a Saint by no means, but the show was just about a philandering man-boy who couldn't spew a comprehensible sentence from his gaping maw. Really, is it that funny to watch a 45 year old man trying to get into the pants of a 20 year old woman? And I'd just like to know what movies Sheen has been in that have made him such a star power. He was in Major League, Hot Shots, and Platoon that I know of. I would imagine it's his relation to Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez that have furthered his career. But really, he's not funny, he's not a talented actor. I just can't grasp it. Aside from his acting career he's also a man who beats women, cheats on them, and abuses drugs to the point where he can't do his job properly unless he gets a few weeks hiatus. If he worked anywhere else he would've been given a pink slip a long time ago. He's a man-child who should've grown up into a serious actor like his father.
By far one of the most unfunny shows I ever had the displeasure of watching. Every year or so I tried watching an episode from a new season, to see if it got any better. It didn't.
Not sad to see this go, in fact, I can think of a few other series that need to bite the dust.
