For a sitcom it's not really that formulaic, According to Jim would be an example of an overly formulaic sitcom

Then Herb's friend moves in as well, played by Colin Mochrie.

And I found that show to be BETTER after he passed.

James Garner and David Spade has a great dynamic going on...

90% of the appeal is the admittedly brilliant chemistry between Sheen and Cryer. If they lose one of them, there's no point in continuing the show.

Honestly like the show, but think it could have ended a while ago while it was still one of the best.

Also don't count your chickens before they hatch. Sheen hasn't quit yet.

In a perfect world, it would have ended after a single season. That way the people who actually find it funny could have a good laugh about it, and everyone else could breathe a sigh of relief and forget it ever existed.

Not saying anyone's opinion is invalid--to each his own--but I, for one, will be thankful if I never have to hear another word about that godawful show ever again.

I personally don't like the show, or Charlie Sheen, but I thought "2 and a half men" was a vehicle for Sheen (could be wrong about that though), so it wouldn't really make sense to keep writing the show if you lose the actor the show was written for. I for one, won't be crying if the show gets cancelled.

I think it should. Charlie Sheen adds a definite element that cant be replaced and would be missed. The show just wouldnt function well.

Plus the guy who plays Alan wants to go to, from what I heard. And the guy who plays the kid (think is name is Jake).

I really like the show and don't want it to end but it wouldn't be the same without Charlie.

Charlie Sheen is the focus of it though; a lot of people find Alan more annoying than anything. He brought the show together, and Jake and Alan were just kind of annoyances. Honestly, I like Charlie's mother and psychiatrist more than Alan, and neither of them could pull the show off.

Besides which, the show's gone on too long already. It's not as funny as it used to be, and now that Jake's grown up, almost everything that made his character good is gone.

I personally liked the show. It's a shame it has to go just because Charlie Sheen did some really stupid things.
