Spiders vs ants. Spiders are trappers, ants are swarmers. Ants almost definitely win out in the end due to sheer numbers, but if the spiders were smart enough to target the ants specifically, it would be one hell of a fight.

Yeah, fire ants are fucking crazy. At least they can't fly like bees can. I think that the ability to fly would be the Bees' main advantage. Ants would need to crawl up to the hive to do any type of an attack.
University... don't think there're any private entomology labs in the UK.

Jewel wasp vs. Cobras

To put into context, the jewel wasp has rudimentary mind control ability (by means of a sting containing a modulated sedative... or something), and I've been perusing the Tomb Kings of WHF. Wasps riding cobras around the place... how funny is that...
