Name two movies that you absolutely love and would KILL to see in the movie theater...

One thing: They must have come out before your time and NOT BEEN RE-RELEASED IN THEATERS- STAR WARS (1999-Present) is out.

One more thing: A quick explanation as to why would spark the discussion and make this more fun.

MY TWO-

1) Amadeus- the score of Star Wars and Superman was awesome in surround sound...but can you imagine hearing Mozart's Requiem?

2) Robocop- My brother bought the BlueRay and DAMN- I wished I had been old enough to see it in theaters...

Can we pick stuff we just plain missed out on?

I never saw Saving Private Ryan on the big screen. That's meant to be incredible.
Oh and Dumbo, because I can.

That's the purpose of this poll...movies you couldn't see in theaters because you were too young (or had over-protective parents) that are now awesome and you wished you could see them in theaters now....any other questions?

Anyway! I would say The Godfather.
Yes, in 1999 the Original Trilogy was re-vamped...that doesn't mean I wished I could have seen it in 1977!

Excellent pick on Godfather though!

I can't name two, I can tell you most mafia style films (i.e. The Godfather 1, 2 and 3, Untouchables, Goodfellas, and RoboCop), and V for Vendetta, wasn't ld enough when it came out, but its an amazing film (and a better book).

2001: A Space Oddyssey, when tripping or stoned the stargate sequence is supposed to be absolutely mindblowing. its one of the reasons it was so popular (being released in the late 60's when psychadelia and lsd were at their peak)

that or City of God, that film is too awesome on the small screen. on the big it would be incredible

I missed seeing Dark City when it was in theaters (probably because I was 9) so I'd like to see that on the big screen. The Director's Cut of Dune would be my second choice.

Yea the opening scene on Omaha Beach is worth it. Then again now a days if you get a decent surround sound system for your home it can be just as good.
I agree...though I have to save for a new TV first!

Man, talk about one I wished I had been able to see in high school. Need to see Goodfellas though.

Well I was only 5 when it was released so I'm taking that as before my time.

Yup...need to watch it again...every single time you see it, you see something new, or it means something different to you.
