Not sure if it's exactly the "European Court". I can't say I know the name too well, but it's the final place to try your case, the highest instance in any court. Human Rights something something.
I also expect them to be able to appeal to the European one, seeing as they're from Norway, but I can't say that for certain :>

Yup, this isn't quite how a trial should be carried out.

However, the two companions have put themselves into a sticky situastion when they walked around down there with military equipment and id-cards. Congo's been ravaged by mercenaries for quite some time and they sure as hell are tired of it. And corruption is widespread, to make matters worse.

But I think all the postponing and search for evidence (and the "evidence" that already is found) makes this muy fishy business. They even hired interpreters who didn't speak English. What's that all about?

Oh well, things aren't looking too bright, I'm afraid, though I guess they'd be rescued and trialed in another court if things really get worse.

The final verdict in this case has now fallen.

The two Norwegians are judged to 5 death sentences each. While a human only has one life, I don't know how the extra 4 death penalties are going to be carried out.
