Star: The mods usually crack down on the people who deserve it.
Wish: It'd be nice if people who were responding to the OP could stop quoting it in its entirety, since we always assume that any post is responding to the OP unless stated otherwise.

Star - The staff will respond to comments occasionally so you know they're paying attention to the forum posters.

My only wish is to open a reported post and not see a user that has been here for longer than a year making a one word post. Seriously, you've been here long enough, you should know better.

Star - Some of the best and most entertaining video content on the net - Yahtzee and Jim.
Star - Active and friendly forums with a nice community.
Wish - Less moderation/more intelligent moderation. I haven't been here long but I've already seen so many people on bans or suspensions (in threads) and often for saying things that I agree with completely. It's one of the reasons I've avoided making an account and posting here for so long.
That's probably going to be an unpopular point since most people love the moderation here so I'll clarify a little. I'm all for banning/suspending people who just can't hold a civil conversation but sometimes I get the feeling that posts/users get reported or hated on/flamed for voicing an unpopular opinion. I certainly have no wish to share any of my political/social/religious opinions on this site.

Wish - advertisment managment. Just now, when I clicked on this thread, a pop-up ad appeared and something named mobigeenie started downloading. I understand that sites get their money from ads too, but some control is needed. And I don't want to use ad-blocking add-ons on this site, but sometimes the urge to do so is far too strong.

Wish - I'd like to see the Community Manager being more involved. s0osleepie was appointed then seemed to mostly disappear from the site; now I see Dr. Strangelove has been given the title, so I'd like to see him make a good solid impact.

Star - Jimquisition (it took a long time for this show to become entertaining rather than simply interesting but he's got the formula down these days. I frequently disagree with his opinion but I look forward to hearing it just the same)
Wish - Video Game Reviews Revisited.
I'd like to see this done by all the major sites personally. Someone's opinion on a game frequently changes over time. It would be great to have certain games revisited 6 months or a year after release with a new video and score. The purpose would be to explore if the game stands tall after the hype has gone away, if any patches made have made the game worth visiting and if it's worth the current asking price for those who missed out on it.
Examples:
- Diablo 3 is a completely different game from launch and plays nothing like the critical review version.
- Sim City actually works now and has had some time to get established (I assume). What's it truly like?
- Does Dragon Age 2 hold up strong as a game to replay in light of the upcoming Dragon Age: Inquisition?
- Skyrim Ultimate Edition. How does this game stand after the hype? Is the new content worth revisiting the game for? Is the game only truly great with mods or can console gamers get a great vanilla Skyrim experience still?

@VMK: I don't think that's from The Escapist - Mobogenie is a malware program that should be removed. This site provides a definition, though I haven't noticed it on my PC and I stress that I haven't tried their methods of removal; I have my own programs for that:

Big ol' Star for the coverage of geek news not specifically relevant to gaming. I am fascinated by robotics, but not enough to regularly visit any sites that cover them specifically. So when an interesting tidbit comes down the Escapist's news crawl I always enjoy reading it.

And a wish would be that I'd love an option to make the site a different color. The bright white with black text is fine, but an inverted color option would be most welcome. A dark grey perhaps, with white text in the forums. I find that much less harsh on my aging decrepit eyes. But it's just a wish of course. Things are fine as they are, but more options is never a bad thing.

Wish: There are typos in almost every article. Proofreading is glaringly absent / ineffectual. So, uh . . . I wish that was not the case.
