When a game developer can admit its faults, and make fun of them, then they have my confidence. I'll keep an eye out on this and look for gameplay.

That was damn funny, though what I don't understand is why don't they just repackage TW2 as simply, Two Worlds. The first one was considered horrible, so have the second one act as a reboot and start the series off properly. Of course, this all depends on the second one not being complete ass.

yeah the first one did suck but the story was pretty good and it had a charm of it, though getting mauled by fucking wolves for hours was humiliating.

and from the trailers the game looks a million times better and anyone whos a fan of angryjoe and has seen his preview on the game the combat is much better the graphics are good and the framerate is very smooth.

i'll be getting it probably cos im a sucker for fantasy games and because no matter how bad it was i actually did like two world, riding a horse was a ***** though hope they fixed that more than anything.

Of course, the question here is why they're making a sequel at all, given that everyone on Earth apparently thought Two Worlds was horrible.
I actually like the game, as a matter of fact I played through it twice.

Meh. I thought the game was tolerable after you get used to the general kludgyiness of it. If nothing else, I liked setting big fields of monsters on fire with the line of flame spell. Burn, little skeletons, burn! I could almost smell the calcium in the air.

Am I the only one who actually, really, honestly, thoroughly enjoyed that game? I really don't understand why it got bashed so much. I spent well over 100 hours playing it, and I loved it. Sure, some of the voice acting and dialogue was pretty poor; but to me it was comically bad, not unbearably bad. And the actual gameplay was quite fun, if you gave it a chance. It's one of the few modern RPGs I've ever actually finished.
I've been waiting for Two Worlds II for a long time; since it was still just an expansion pack to the original. It's one of the games I'm looking forward to most.

And no, this is not sarcasm.

I liked the concept of the first one... being a company trying to produce the same kind of game that the Elder Scrolls is. They horribly failed, mind you, but at least they have a sense of humor, and have learned from their mistakes. That's probably the most important thing.

Could quite possibly be a good game if they really have learned from them.

I was expecting some light-hearted, semi-sincere parody with no backbone. That was brutal. Despite my decision to forgo the experience promised by the first game, I still found the ribbing quite funny.

It could look like real fucking people but if they don't sort out the script/voice acting it'd still be bollocks.

"Verily and forsooth, who talks like that?" This got a laugh from me, because it's my main complaint with the game! Most writers can't seem to get a grip on how that kind of writing works and throw it in to be "old world", when in fact it just sounds "shit". While I still don't have high hopes for the game, I have a lot more respect for the developers now.

I'm embarrassed to admit that I live maybe 20 minutes away from Southpeak's headquarters in Virginia. The paper recently ran an article saying that Southpeak was ahead of the video game curve and was doing better than the rest of the industry. I had a good laugh when I saw that.

Not only was it horrible but it was pretty fun killing people and enemies in it. Thought the Voice acting was terrible the Combat wasn't to bad. I can't say anything for story though because i didn't beat it.
Well yah, but there's worse, there was this game series called "World War II Combat" with two games, Road To Berlin and Iwo Jima, even though it came out in 2006 and its only selling point was the awesome covers of the games, the game itself was worse then a cheap budget 90's game. Well I'd go on, but I'd rather just post a video of gameplay.

I'm with you on this. It wasn't brilliant but certainly a pleasant way to spend some time; playing it made me feel there was a lot of potential for southpeak.

The combat and wandering around the world was pretty solid it looked good and I liked its crafting system, and although the stacking swords to make them more powerful was odd it worked really well.

The story was dull and the script was just as terrible as the cheap voice actors but considering the studio had only made puzzle games and a couple of FPS's before it was a pretty good effort. If they learned enough in making it to produce a really good RPG next time around then all the better.

considering that they almost exclusively make cheap casual games and even cheaper puzzle games then they probably are turning a pretty good percentage of profit.

Probably about to lose my Geek Card, but I didn't mind two worlds, the magic was pretty fun, picking up different cards and deciding what to combine with what etc etc, I never finished it, but that's true for about 80% of my games.
