HEY... shutup :p Let em join the air force and become batman, then they wont be hungry or homeless xP
No they'll just be targets, most likely dead, or tramatized for the rest of their days. But that was your plan to decrease the surplus population Mr. Scrooge.

So the Air Force wants an army of Batmen, the Marines want an army of Robert Heinlein style power troopers and... what fictional creation does the army want to emulate?
The Imperial Guard?
Try the Space Marines. Unless you're referring to their armour support, in which yes, the Imperial Guard very, very much.

Much as I do love the idea of BATMAN being deployed in the middle east to help stabilise relationships, I really wish we could keep some things to fiction.
While I've never really been into comics much due to a lack of exposure, the ones I saw at my friend's house as a child, that were handed down from his father or older cousin or something were better than the "OMG TEH GRITTY!" stuff, which has to cite all of its sources and use real technology, that they have now, because while it makes them more engaging, is it really worth the cost of the campy fun in the earlier comics like they were when comics weren't much more than Aesops with questionably sane protagonists and a lot of onomatopoeia usage?

OT: Yeah, this looks like a laugh, and it could actually be useful in some situations, but it doesn't really do all that much for me personally.

It's okay. They may not be the Batmen we want them to be, but the Batmen Afghanistan deserves.
What were sending the Frank Miller version to Afghanistan? Dang, isn't that against the Geneva convention or something? I mean that has got to be illegal WMD use somewhere.
Batman has no jurisdiction. He's the goddamn Batman.

that bat hook thing sounds awesome

But whenever any nations army reveles there plan for a new peice of technology i cant help but think that even with all its technology america still lost the veitnam war

And britain and america cant really win the new gulf war

maby we should think about improved training rather than improved gadgets....just an opinion

Batman is awesome, but only because he's so smart. He figures out exactly what he'll need in the field and stuffs in all into his Batsuit and utility belt.

...

Did you really consider this, America? Did you? Because STUFFING MORE HIGH-TECH SHIT in a soldier's daysack is not how you make a fucking super great army of "peacekeeping" troops. Train the fuckers, THEN throw goodies at them!
