Dammit... judging by the screenshot, it looks really good... why can't people release games like these instead of movie based games that make no money and get horrible reviews?

Beyond Good and Evil was the number one game nobody played. Hell, I only picked up when it was in the PC bargain bin and was delighted with it. I LOVE this game and was so excited that a sequel was in the works....goddamn it Ubisoft.
And speaking of good games that got shafted....is there any work on a sequel to Advent Rising? Or do those cocksuckers at Majesco still own the IP and won't give it back to the Mustard Bros.?

The only thing I'm lamenting about this whole affair is that the powers that be in deciding which projects get funded are likely afraid of publishing a game about an ethnic looking female protagonist without giant boobs and no gratuitous violence. Oh and she's more than half dressed too.
This IP is dying to be used in an epic storyline. The fans are dying to see it made anew. People who've never heard of the thing have bought it and loved it instantly. This is not about the IP being something they can't fund. It's about not wanting to fund it. This could have been funded by dropping other super awesome IP's like Hell's Kitchen, Grey's Anatomy and Imagine Makeup Artist. Cause you know those won't be sitting in a discount bin 24 hours after release.
PS: Mr. Ng you always bring the good stuff out in the open. I have no doubt you'll get to the bottom of this and let us all know what the real story is. I will hold on to a shred of hope that this will not be a Monkey Island length wait for an amazing IP.

Isn't that old news? I recall hearing about the halt shortly after that teaser trailer came out, apparently they're working on Rabbids Go Home instead and will only deal with BG&E2 after RGH is done. Personally I'd rather have RGH than BG&E2 because Rabbids are awesome.
Because apparently not enough people thought they were great and thus didn't buy them. I certainly wouldn't buy BG&E2, BG&E1 was already too much stealth for my liking. I'd rather have Psychonauts 2 if we're going to ask for sequels to niche hits (or Gotcha Force 2 but I think I've harped on that for way too long already).mrfft said:
