When you say code by email, what code exactly are they giving you? I usually just wait for a Steam sale/Humble Bundle/GOG, but that means I rarely get to play flashy new games when they're flashy and new.
He means the registration/activation key. You then put it into Steam, uPlay or whatever registration program the game requires.

I've purchased a few games from them, both physical copies and digital codes. No shipping cost as well.

Aren't Aussies already accustomed to insane prices? Suddenly hiking it up like that makes no sense from player's perspective though, that much is true.
Yeah, but we usually don't get a $20 overnight price hike, and with Steam, we get hit again with the exchange rate so we're paying more again due to Steam being in USD, not AUD. It's going to drive people away from it.

And this is why I buy from OZgameshop

Seriously, everyone should buy their games from there...

I mean, sure, there is a bit of a delay, but what would you prefer...

a 1-2 day wait (code by email)

or spend an extra $20? (Usually more, since they discount a lot)

Yay shopping around!

They'll send an email to you through the account email-address you register with a code you register through steam...
Sure, it's not a pre-order bonus or the like, but it's cheap... you don't cplain...

Thanks, not_you. I didn't know about OZgameshop. It's depressing that companies think they can arbitrarily raise prices in some countries.

I have to ask, though. Do they send you codes for Steam or Uplay?

Fucking dicks.

Oh well, I washed my hands of Ubisoft a long time ago, I sent them a bitchy e-mail stating they lost a paying customer at the PC launch of Black Flag. (And to my knowledge the issues I complained about STILL haven't been resolved.) I intend to stick by my guns on that, untill they stop making retarded decisions and start respecting their fucking customer base I'm not giving them a cent. And even then it'll only be a cheap ass steam sale bargain.

Price went from $59 to $75 on Steam for absolutely no sane reason. And they wonder why people are so contemptuous of big publishers.

Can still get it from GMG and OzGameShop for the much cheaper price however.

GMG discount code: PT7ELX-1WPWNT-7UAGQZ
It's ?50 here in Ireland too on steam which is $75 it's ?70 on Xbox one and PS4 in Ireland we get it worse than the Aussies half the time.
