I watched her thing and she kept ranting about American Manners. That's as laughable a concept as Paris Hilton Brain Cells.

Easy way to solve this UCLA controversy.

Attend the superior institution of learning. We're not as racist, and we also have bricks.
And a better football team.
And a fucking archaeology degree. That's why I say, "Fuck UCLA". It crushes dreams.
Eh, but I'd rather not get stabbed if I leave campus alone at night. I'll stick to UCLA thanks
BUT SIR! You forget that USC has a security staff with special permission to patrol campus and surrounding neighborhoods! It is, in fact, quite safer to be wandering around USC's adjaceant neighborhoods at night than UCLA's neighborhoods (which rely on the local police force)!

A while back, when some USC kids tried to deface our mascot, they somehow caught the attention of the UCLA police. The students high-tailed it off campus, just barely managing to get away. They stopped after they left the UCLA campus boundary, because they thought the UCLA security was analogous to the USC security and had no jurisdiction outside of the campus. No such luck... the UCLA police simply crossed the boundary and arrested the students.

Long story short: UCLA security = police officers = they actually have the authority and jurisdiction neccessary to be effective at their job

I would much rather have an effectively trained actual police officer on my side then a rent-a-cop any day. No offense my good sir. [sub]but there is a thing at UCLA called the "rape trail". I wonder why...[/sub]

Oh, they aren't rent-a-cops. And if we're going to be going on effectiveness of schools, well, reemember which school is impacted, and which has enough money from private donations that it can afford to have an unused auditorium on campus, as well as Mr. Tudor's services.

Well, I wasn't going to talk about the actual school effectiveness (that's another matter entirely). And yes, ULCA is so impacted it has shit coming out of its nose. This much is true.

I have tried to get into a certain Physics class for the past 2 quarters only to find the class clossed the instant it becomes available online! And that is why UCLA Engineers take 5 years to graduate. Gaaaaaahhh!

PS: this discussion is getting to be bucketfuls of offtopic

Why doesn't someone give this guy a recording contract instead of all the talentless hacks polluting the music industry right now?

Dude. Come down off the cross. No reason to nail yourself to it over a cheeky song.

1) Does Ms. Wallace deserve the hate she is getting? If yes, does it make you happy to see the internet destroying her?

-Yes. Yes.

2) How awesome is this song?

-Beast Mode

I'm almost positive the guy's trolling her... And he's doing it, really well. Odds are she'll take him seriously. Also, this Asian Man wins an Internet.
He is.

Honestly, the signing guy is being more offensively stereotypical. But overreactions from the internet are as predictable as the sun rising in the morning.
The thing is, that he's doing it satirically. He's being SO over-the-top racist and stereotypical that nobody believes he is serious. Or that's the idea behind it, it never really works.

I wish I could have caught this topic earlier to stop the people who don't get satire from calling that dude a racist, but I'm a little late for that, I guess.

OT: Pretty good song, I must say. I didn't bother watching UCLA girl's rant, so I can't say whether the guy is fair or not, but whatever.

1) Yes. Although I can feel her "pain" having been in a similar situation before, her way of presenting her problems is fulled with rage and makes her look like an idiot.
Her point that people should learn the customs in the country they are living in for a longer period of time is not a bad point. But saying "In America, we do/don't do..." jsut makes you sound like a "stupid american" to me :p

2)EXTREAMLY AWESOME!

Thanks!

Okay, oddly enough, I don't find her racist, just really GODDAMN annoying, and quite closed minded. No, I don't think she deserves the hate, but a trolling that good? If it brings a smile to my face AND will help the Japanese Tsunami fund? I'm all in.
