But Anderson always fights like that. He tries to get you to commit to a strike, and then counters you. It just didn't work out for him that fight. Plus, Silva was past his prime, so a prime Silva would probably have won. Based on his legacy, Weidman has a lot of work to do to be a better fighter than Silva.
Second fight was a freak occurrence for sure, it happens a lot more in Muay Thai/Kickboxing bouts due to them being better at actually checking kicks. Was a beauty check though, right below the knee cap, so Silva's thin area of the tibia was hitting Weidman's thicker part. That hurts.
