They're all first person shooters I guess, but for the most part they are really different.

The most uninformed comment I have heard about video games has to be:
"You play WoW? You must have no life, play nothing but WoW, and dedicate your whole EXISTENCE to playing WoW!!!"
- The same can be said about *ahem* EVERY OTHER FUCKING VIDEO GAME FANATIC.

Hey, glad to see I'm not the only person that's dealt with that bullshit.

I used to play WoW alot, and my friends would facepalm everytime they wanted to hang out (which fell on every single tuesday/thursday night at 8:30 when I was supposed to raid) and say WoW took over my life, but they never said that when I played Oblivion, Windwaker, Twilight Princess, Half-Life 2, Starcraft 2, Ogre Battle 64, Brawl, .... the list goes on and on.

People who bash WoW seem to think that everyone who plays WoW is attached to their computer and ONLY plays WoW, and that just annoys the shit out of me.
They'll gladly shit-talk WoW players, but they won't shit-talk CoD fanatics, Halo fanatics, Fallout fanatics, and any other game that people really enjoy.

Just because looks bad, doesn't mean every single game on said console is bad.
Gran Turismo games look beautiful, but the PS3 is still a hunk of shit that has bad games mixed in the good.

Whenever someone brings up the "Wii = bad graphics" nonsense, I just show them Twilight Princess and/or Metroid Prime 3.
And then I let Link and Samus force their words down their throats.

Yep, I'm part of the TimeSplitters Escpaist gorup so I knew about all the glimpses of oppurtunity a while ago. But I was glad they actually made a statement.

I wonder how they'd manage to make a 4th after the ending of future perfect. And I hope it doesn't change too much at once, especially with the looks. And I kind of hope that in multiplayer games they'll be an option for with or without a reticule to feel more classically, and a cheat menu accessible from multiplayer menu, if they make it. I'd also like maps that have portals so one game is being fought in different time periods...

I have too many worries and ideas.

Thats the thing about a game involving time travel; they can invent as many plot twists and make use of plot holes that you didn't know were there.
I'll try not to get into the storyline since its been a few years since I played, and time travel stories always take me a few times to understand fully since my brain has to ignore physics almost entirely.

I hope they keep Multiplayer more-or-less the same, but have an online feature. The bots of TS are what made it so enduring for me, and I would hate for them to take that out. A lack of targeting reticule would be pretty cool, and I'd love to see that setting in place.
So long as they keep it non-serious and pretty cartoony, I am pretty sure I'd be content with anything they did, but I don't want to see a carbon copy of what TS games used to be; that is just boring, and I'd rather just take the time to find where I put my TS games and play those.

Because Timesplitters is to freaking funny to play without your sides splitting from laughter. Great game, great humor and It's TIME ta SPLIT!

To be fair, every football game probably did.
Might be a bit biased here though, because I hate football games. Theyre so pointless. Why not just... you know... get a ball and actually PLAY the game. Rather than the game of the game?

Maybe they seem the same BECAUSE THEY'RE FREAKING IN FIRST PERSON. You don't compare (or shouldn't compare) Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. They're both fighting games, and you fight each other in a 2d style, occasionally with 3D graphics. That's because they're of the same genre. They HAVE to be that way. It's the same with Mario and Mega Man, Oblivion and Fallout (although they are by the same developer, so...) and especially with FPSes. CoD and Halo are bothe in First person, and that's about all they have in common. Yet, they are still compared

Plus, if they are all the same as he said, then he just compared Bioshock, Half Life, and Doom to Daikatana.

FPS games aren't my favorite by any means, with only two or three that I really like. However, I will say that those three are vastly different and have all left a noticeable impact.

For me, it's all RPGs as boring 'Click once and done' kinds of games. =|
