The one thing that popped out is that she claims she's doing it "for the kids" but if that was the case then why are you asking for $5 million!?
Don't worry, I'm sure she will donate all that money to charities that specifically help sufferers of child gambling addiction, whose problems are crippling America /sarcasm

Is nothing sacred?! Tickets and Chuck E. Cheese, really?

Man, I remember going to arcades and playing the ticket games a lot, because I liked the games and the goofy, cheap plastic prizes were just icing on the cake. I don't gamble, I don't even really try to get trophies or achievements. Keller is just looking for a payday.

edit: I've only been to Chuck E Cheese a couple times. I'm a Camelot guy myself :D

This is beyond ridiculous. Nothing worth buying was ever in reach; anything I ever wanted was always thousands of tickets so there was no way I could delude myself that I'd ever get them.

I would have played most of those arcade games even if I didn't receive tickets.

I just say string 'er up and be done with it, so we don't have to put up with her greedy bullshit. Though I'd love to see her case fall apart at the seams, I will admit.

I knew it that Chuck E. Cheese isn't a mouse, he's a rat! A greedy, greedy rat who wants to take your children's money!

Actually, I think the mom is being a kill joy. Most kids don't even go to Chuck E. Cheeses anymore, at least not that I'm aware of. A lot of kids like to play games from their own homes instead.

Chuck E. Cheese? Seriously? We're raiding a place like this now? My god, but people are pathetic sometimes. "You can't swear on TV!" "You can't smoke indoors!" "Video games cause violence!" This isn't limbo. How low do you have to go? Does that well have a bottom? This is just sad...

..Oh boy. This case won't go in her favor at all because of a few good reasons, but mainly I can't see this taken seriously. The mom had to pick something I thought would never be sued in the first place. Here are my reasons anyhow:

- It's your choice to bring them there in the first place
- It is not gambling, for you win something in return no matter what plus kids aren't that addicted to it
- They've been doing this for so long and it has never been an issue
- The mom doesn't have to give the kids money to win tickets in the first place
- If it's about the "kids", then why charge $5 million? That's ridiculous
- Her proof is a tad weak since it applies to California when really it's basically about a small business that offers way more then just the tickets based on skills, not luck
I will take Chuck E. Cheese's side, on the stand if I can... When my Mom gave me $20 worth of tokens and told me to have fun, I never went straight for any of those "gambling-like" games, I went for things like Cruis'n' USA. I wanted to play video games, not games of skill like ski-ball. I am okay at Ski-ball, but I had more fun with the electronic games... Thus, they obviously weren't addicting to me.

Maybe what should be called into question is her parenting skill. If her children are really learning gambling from Chuck E Cheese's maybe she should take them there.... I went to Chuck E Cheese and similar places and played games of skill as a child and I am not addicted to gambling.

American parents have a tendency to blame their parenting woes on people other than themselves.

You guys ought to take whatever your equivalent to an Rresponsible Conduct of Gambling course is over there.

The machines are built on the gambling principle.
They should have been removed a long time ago.
As for the sum, it's because a massive chain would just roll over and settle on a smaller amount. It has to be large enough for them to want to challenge.

Though whether she was smart enough to actually know that, I dunno. Her lawyer may have been.
And yeah, she probably wants money as well.

But, nevertheless, the machines need to go.
