I was on it a few hours ago, total clusterfuck. The hackers specifically called out bronies in their reason for hacking 4chan and the whole site exploded in brony hate because apparently it was their fault, and then kids from /v/ and /b/ started overwhelming /mlp/ with hate threads. Yeah it was chaos. But now it seems to have calmed down.

We always knew one day 4chan would end by self destruction. Unfortunately today was not that day.

Honestly, /v/ and /b/ are the fucking worst, they're just full of horrible people who take full advantage of their anonymity. I can't really pass judgement on the rest of the site, because I don't know much beyond those three boards.

As a regular 4chan-goer, I can back this up from personal experience.
/b/ is the worst, you don't even need to go there to know that.
/v/ is so bad that it had to be separated into /vg/, it's a consistent joke that they don't even discuss videogames on /v/.
/k/ is pretty bad, don't know if as bad as /v/ but sometimes just as stupid.
/jp/ isn't good or bad, just dull.
/mu/ is mostly helpful from the few times I've been.
/g/ can either be helpful or just dicks, they actually helped me out a great deal at one point.

People should learn the difference between 4chan and /b/. Most of the boards hate the other boards. Everyone hates /pol/ for being stormfront fanatics, everyone hates /v/ because they wreck shit with forced memes. Everyone also hates /b/ for childporn raids on other boards. /tg/ is the true board for the master race of grognards to dwell.

tl;dr newkids l2internet, or even browse some threads before pretending you know what the fuck 4chan is about.

Maybe it was something to do with moot adding code tags to /g/, someone nearly managed to get an exploit going after 2 days, maybe someone else has been more successful.

Either that, or it has something to do with the way the site was recently re-coded to comply with HTML5. They probably introduced some new security holes there, while the old code base had the advantage of being tested by close to a decade of script kiddies.
