Wait, hang on... I enjoyed this. I want to know what happens, I MUST KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NOW!!!
Oh dear God what have you done? I must keep this from everyone, they wouldn't understand. Must. Remain. Manly.
So it happens again...
You might be interested in our little <url=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/chat/MLP-Friendship-is-Magic>spoiler-rich therapy-circle then.
Is it retarded that after only one episode I already have a favorite character? (It's Rainbowdash btw, he kills clouds and doesn't afraid of anything)
Not really, I got my favorite after the first episode too, betcha can't guess which one though. That's just a sign that the characters were developed significantly enough to be understood after the first.
We are still taking into account this show is a kids show presumably aimed at young girls

Right?

...

Right?

[sub] Okay sod it logic is out of the window now might as well start watching it too[/sub]

Remove the laugh now and you get After episode 2, you will be one of us....!

I would rather bungee jump with my intestines over the edge of a bridge then cut them so I fall to my death on concrete, that has a grudge against my face during an earthquake, than like my little pony. It's completely retarded... Some people go stupid for nothing these days, like now.
I really want to agree with you and then point out you didn't give a reason why you shouldn't like it, thus insulting you with your own insult directed at us, but that's mean.

This show has taught me better. PEACE AND LOVE!
... and THAT... is why I hate it.

So many people throwing the 'retarded' word around. Is this what passes for modern vernacular nowadays? Sigh.
More to the point, it's not retarded in any sense of the word; nothing's holding it back and it's very cleverly-written.

So hush now, silly filly. You sound like the kind of person, like the late 90's to mid 2k's kind of person, who still thinks it's cool to go around being all nihilistic and angsty because that's what all the cool kids are doing and they'll let you into their supersecret club where you can smoke weed every day.

Your logic is almost spot on, though it isn't complete. Logically, children shows will also be watched with by the parents as a bonding scenario, so wouldn't it be logical that the show also appeal to adults?

Sorry, I'll edit that. I did genuinely think She was a guy (though now I realise that makes no sense in context), probably the last remnants of my masculinity desperately clinging on there.

Well it's better than assuming she's a lesbian and ramming the 'fact' down everypony's throat.

... okay, weird mental picture.

And still no reasoning behind it. Purposeless hate only begetting more hate does not yield fruit in the long run.

Sweet jesus it was incredibly annoying.
I think I see your problem; the pilot episodes really weren't as good as any of the others.
So long as they keep the same characters in the show I will never watch it again for fear of my eardrums.

Ah, he'll learn. He'll get there one day, as did I. Hopefully his love will go requited unlike mine; now I only occasionally want to burn the world to ashes.

Very occasionally. Sometimes the dreams come with meat and blood and bone and sinew, crass and massive golems of flesh, abominations to strike out against the cruel wicked gods.

But more often than not? Ponies.

1) Just... No.
2) I don't think it's cool, I just am.
3) I find drugs awful.
4) It's an insult, take it.
5) The show's fans use words like "silly filly", it has to have a trait that gives mental deficiency to people. Also, act your age, not your shoe-size.

[Side note]: Not a single F*** was given that day.

Purposeless hate brings the world intelligence, without hate, we would be lovely, and happy with living in filth, with hate, we strive to make things better. Next time you try to beat me with happiness. Do your research. NEXT!

Did you have it turned up really loud, or was it just Pinkie-Pie being Pinkie-Pie?

I found the voice-acting to be quite good myself. Although I can't stop thinking of Timmy Turner when Twilight speaks.

I assume it all started with this article: http://msmagazine.com/blog/blog/2010/12/09/my-little-homophobic-racist-smarts-shaming-pony/

Which was followed by this response: http://msmagazine.com/blog/blog/2010/12/24/my-little-non-homophobic-non-racist-non-smart-shaming-pony-a-rebuttal/

What's really ridiculous about the article is that the writer uses circular logic to argue that the show is homophobic, and makes herself look like the very thing she's arguing against. Her 'logic' is this: Rainbow Dash is a tomboy, tomboys are stereotypically lesbians, therefore Rainbow Dash is a lesbian, therefore the show is perpetuating stereotypes. What. The. Fuck.

Thirteen instead of twenty-six? Not much would change except I wouldn't be allowed to buy whiskey or drive to work!

Also again with the aspersions against one's mental faculties. Tiresome.

Pinkie pie. And that Texan prat. And generally everyone else, while not at the same extent, still damn annoying.

No, I just think you're wrong. Are you under the impression that we only learnt how to fly because we despised the ground?
