Hey guys, results are popping round this Thursday. I feel pretty mixed but whatever the case I won't let it affect my being, not the end of the road but I just wish results day would hurry up. So while I'm waiting I'm playing Demon's Souls.
Unfortunately due to the change in university funding, a university place next year is twice as expensive, as one this year.(about £9000 more per year or something?), for a lot of people applying next year won't be an option.Jamieson 90 said:I remember getting my A-level results, it was no where near as bad as waiting for my GCSE results though. The traditional thing for me to do now though would be to tell you to calm down and chill out but I wont do that, I know how stressful it is.
The good news though is that come Thursday you will feel a lot better anyway regardless of what results you get as it will be finally over. Also remember unlike GCSE's you can resit A-levels and even take the year again if you do not get the results you want.
My last bit of advice is make sure you get the University course you want. Make sure it is interesting and is something you will stick at for 3 years. If you don't get the results you want then try and avoid clearance courses that you don't like. Don't just pick a course because its at a good university or because its the only course you can get, you will drop out.
Its better to go back and do your A-levels and get the results you want and then reapply for university. Also universities often give places even if you don't get the required grades. I needed ABB and I ended up with ABC but I stil got accepted on my HIST/SOCY BA at Manchester University.
